DAvAO CiTY -- Com-postela valley Gov. Jay-vee Tyron L. Uy with four local chief execu-tives namely Davao City Mayor Sara Z. Duterte, Davao Del Norte Gov. Anthony G. Del Rosario, Davao Occidental Gov. Claude Bautista and Davao Oriental Gov. Nelson Dayanghirang, led the launching of Hugpong ng Pagbabago, the new regional party in town. The launch-ing was held at Royal Mandaya Hotel, Davao last February 23, 2018. Around five hundred local officials from the region’s five provinces attended the event. No-table personalities who also showed their support to the new party include Former Mayor Rey T. Uy ofTagum City, Former Gov. Rodolfo Del Rosa-rio of Davao Del Norte,, Former Cong. Vincent J. Garcia of Davao City and Davao Del Sur Vice Gov. Aileen Uy-Almendras. When pressed about his other political party

affiliations, the young governor responded that he already resigned from PDP-Laban before the launching. “I tendered my resig-nation as PDP member for reasons that we want to focus more on the re-gion so we want to help the vision created by Hugpong”, the governor continued. Gov. Uy underscored, however, that the party is not just about pol-it ics but also aims to increase inter-locality cooperation in tackling common problems. As aptly said by Gov. Uy, the party will also focus on the promotion of peace and development in the Davao Region. “The Hugpong para sa Pagbabago will facilitate peace and development initiatives in the Davao Region. It will allow de-velopment to be a lso experienced not only by the urban areas but also those of the rural areas. This is the vision of the party”, he said.

Gov. Uy brought along with him the majority of the local officials of Compostela Valley name-ly Vice Gov. Zamora,

members of the Sanggu-niang Panlalawigan led by Senior Board Member Arturo T. Uy, municipal mayors, vice mayors and

councilors. “Majority of my al-lies in ComValare also here. Basically, all mayors signified their intention

to be part of the Hug-pong. Its supermajor-ity in ComVal”, Gov. Uy said. (Allin Camile, ID Comval)

Teves calls for Sandra Cam’s ouster

Rep. Teves

NEGROS Oriental 3rd Dis-trict Representative Arnulfo Teves on Wednesday chal-lenged jueteng bagwoman-turned-whistleblower Sandra Cam to resign as director of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) after she accused him of be-ing an operator of the Small Town Lottery (STL) in the said province. “I was accused of being an operator. Kung maka-submit si Sandra ng doku-mento, mag-re-resign ako sa Kongreso next hearing. Pero ‘pag wala s’yang ma-submit, s’ya ang mag-resign as director ng PCSO. Please submit to this committee legal documents that indeed proves that I am an operator of Negros Oriental. Kung nakalagay pangalan ko sa korporasyon, mag-re-resign ako. Pero pag wala, I hope mag-resign kayo as director,” Teves declared during the continuation of a hearing by the House Committee on Games and Amusements. In the said hearing, Cam without presenting any evi-dence accused the lawmaker before the committee of al-legedly running an STL op-

eration. “Respetado ko kayo dito. I’m not binabastos ang Kon-greso [sic]. I just want to tell the good congressman here from Negros Oriental, that he himself is an operator. Isn’t it? You’re an STL operator also,” said Cam. According to Cam, the government is allegedly being short-changed of revenues. Citing the STL operations in Pangasinan where instead of P40 million, it should be P500 million a month from the P17-20 million daily sales. However, Committee Chairman Paranaque City Rep. Gus Tambunting asked Cam to clarify if the P500 mil-

lion sales is from Authorized Agent Corporations (AACs) or jueteng. “Kasi ho ‘pag ganyan ar-gument n’yo, kukuwestyunin ko po ‘yung Golden Go bakit P2-3 million lang ang inyong ni-remit, kaya ka na-terminate tapos P500 million pala ‘yan dapat. Tapos kukwestyunin natin ‘yang si Speed Game, kune-kunektado na po ‘yan. Ano pong basis ng P500 million po natin?” asked Tambunting. “It’s [from] jueteng,” Cam answered. Earlier, Teves reminded the committee that PCSO is the go-to of all medical as-sistance, especially of the less

fortunate people. So when one AAC is terminated, the government loses income in that province. “Ang daming kumukontra sa PCSO pero halos lahat doon din humihingi ng tu-long. Kaya suggestion ko, ‘yung mga umayaw sa PCSO-STL operations nila, dapat wala ding opisina ang PCSO doon. If you don’t want STL in your area, don’t want lotto in your area, don’t put PCSO in your area. Parang sa akin gan’on para ‘di mapulitika ang PCSO,” said Teves. The lawmaker suggested giving AACs a certain time frame – six months or one to two years – to pay the shortfalls in their Presump-tive Monthly Retail Receipt (PMRR) targets. If they do not pay their shortfall within the agreed time, that’s the time they get terminated. “Pupusta ako na malabo mangyari na mga bagong kumpanya, makakabayad ng PMRR right away. In time, they will be able to reach their PMRR targets and in that way, may kikitain ang gobyerno, kesa naman sa bumalik sa wala talaga,” said Teves.

The termination of an AAC will also create a vac-uum for opportunists and illegal operations to take advantage of and get back in the game. “I heard nung nawala ‘yung Evenchance, may bumalik na naman dun na – nabalitaan ko lang – na illegal. If you look at history, alam ng PNP [Philippine National Police] ‘yun, nasa record nila ‘yun, halos lahat ng area na walang legit player, there are illegal operators,” revealed Teves. Claims were denied by Camarines Sur Rep. Luis Ray Villafuerte right away, saying there’s no illegal operator in Camarines Sur where his son Miguel Luis Villafuerte is the governor, or else they have to be reported to them. “Para sa akin, gambling lord nga sila dati pero ngayon kung nagbabayad sa gobyer-no its better than them still playing than not paying the government anything. Let us look at this not purely on a legal standpoint, but also on an economic and on a social standpoint, because the economics of PCSO will be what is important for PCSO

to do its social responsibili-ties – which is to help the poor,” added Teves. Towards the end, the law-maker from Negros Oriental reiterated his motion for Cam to submit legal documents proving her allegations and claims. “Tulungan natin ang PCSO na h’wag mawalan ng kita. Walang malisya ‘yun. Sa akin lang, I reiterate na ‘yung claims ni Director Cam. I want documents submitted to this committee to prove such claims. Kung wala, it’s hearsay and malamang sinungaling kasi walang katotohanan. Otherwise, I would move that she be cited for contempt, if she doesn’t prove her claims here,” said Teves. The PCSO board has permanently terminated and cancelled the authorization to play STL of Evenchance Gaming Corporation in Ca-marines Sur last February 5, 2018 and Golden Go Rapid Gaming Corp (GGRGC) in the Province of Pangasinan last October 2017. As replacement, PCSO has granted Speed Game Inc., the authority to operate STL in Pangasinan.

Think A Minute

THINK a minute. Remember the Christ-mas song, “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town?” It says: “He’s makin’ a list, checkin’ it twice, gonna find out who’s naughty or nice!” But there are many people who are both nice and naughty. I grew up with a guy named Bill. He was a very nice, honest person. Bill was a talented actor, so after graduating from university he moved to L.A. where he started acting profession-ally. He eventually got in-volved with the homosexual community in Hollywood. Then a few years ago, when he was only 37 years old, Bill died from AIDS. However, in the last year

Nice and naughtyof his life Bill completely changed and found peace with His Maker. Just a few days after his funeral, I talked with Bill’s mother. She told me what he said to her before he died. He said: “I’ve always tried to be a nice person, but I now realize that I’m also an immoral person. I do things that are clearly wrong, like getting drunk and living a homosexual lifestyle. I know now that being nice and kind is not enough to make me right with God, my Creator.” Jesus Christ said that many nice, kind people are also immoral people. They won’t control their appetites and desires for pleasure. These nice people do things that Jesus teaches are very

wrong and sinful, such as adultery, getting drunk on alcohol, high on kava or drugs, homosexuality, and other things. They think that it’s fine to do what feels good as long as they don’t hurt anybody else. However, the actual fact is they are hurting their own family members and others, as well as abusing their own bodies. Most of all, they are cutting them-selves off from God their Creator by rebelling against Him, just so they can keep living for themselves. Jesus Christ and the Bible show us how to enjoy physical pleasures the way that won’t hurt ourselves and others. Jesus also made it clear that just being a nice person

is definitely not enough to make us right with Him. Since He is our Maker, He knows the only way that we can ever have real satisfac-tion and peace which lasts. So it’s the only way we can be saved from the ter-rible pain and suffering that will come on us from our wrong way of living. So for your own safety and happiness, won’t you ask Jesus to forgive you and help you start changing and living His way for the rest of your life? Just Think a Minute.

WE always raise this question as to why we, Fili-pinos, can’t simply do our jobs without talking too much on everything and anything. Gossiping is a conta-gious national pastime, more popular than bas-ketball, texting or even taking shabu. Aside from drug addiction, malling and spreading rumors (read: false news) these days are the two most effective way of wasting one’s free time. Anyone can join, it’s free, no skills needed, only a big mouth and sharp tongue needed, and that’s it – your language, be it ala Duterte, Mocha or Trillanes, or worse, De Lima, makes your day complete, and well, satisfied of spreading

Why can’t we just do it?something, be it good or bad. And almost everyone eagerly does the spreading of the word so to speak, throwing in their two cents worth of information at hand, be it true or false, in any and every conversation. Gossiping therefore is the best pastime for us, an effective tool to ward off boredom and even hunger. To some, rumor monger-ing is their way of keeping their sanity intact. You hear these loose talks just anywhere and anytime– in the neighbor-hood, in malls, in offices or even in jeepney rides. To the haters and losers, it’s the best weapon to combat envy and hatred. And to those who are al-

ready addicted to spreading rumors, it seems that they won’t last a day without gossip. People who are into rumor mongering would surely say that without gos-sip, they may not know what to do with their time. Life would be so drab that, in the quest of excite-ment and the sheer need to break routine, spreading rumors come easy and free. We want this country to move on and become the tiger economy that we aim for so long a time, yet the crab mentality and other bad traits among us persevere, and drags us further down the road to perdition. We keep on talking about everything. Who’s sleeping with whom? Who’s girl-

friend or boyfriend of this? Why can’t we just do our jobs, and behave like the honorable people that we are? Why do we have to talk about them? Perhaps topics like what are we gonna do about how to improve the economy, about how to uplift the lives of the Marawi IDPs, what are our priorities for 2018? are most welcome and wholesome as it were. Are our jobs okay? Is the peso going to fall down against the dollar? Are we

Urbiztondo. If it was true that thieves broke into their room and carted away their valuables, the criminals must be imme-diately arrested, and their loot returned to the owners. Truly, the descent to sin-fulness and petty criminality of our people is now truly

a source of national shame. On the other hand, if this accusation is not true, or was just made up by the tourists for one reason or another, they must be held accountable for defamation by the owner of the resort in La Union. Indeed, no tourist would dare come to the country and to that resort anymore after this!

I ask be-cause, to me, that gathering actually represented a big insult to the concept of true people’s movements, whose rightful intentions should be the welfare of the people

and of the environment. T h i n k a b o u t t h i s : Duterte’s critics gathered at the EDSA People Power monument just for a few hours on Sunday but they somehow managed to cough up tons and tons of trash and garbage, which now require cleaning for at least two days. Are these the people who claim that they are pro-people, pro-God and pro-environment? The truth, if you ask me, is that, these people are truly the trash or garbage of Philip-pine society who must be washed down the drain!

-ooo-LESSON OF EDSA 1986: PERSONAL AND FAMiLY iNTERESTS ARE HiGHER THAN THE PEOPLE’S iNTERESTS: Again, if I were to be asked, the true lesson of EDSA 1986 is truly

a simple one: personal and family interests are always put above the greater in-terest of our countrymen by people who become, by some quirk of treacherous fate, leaders of the Filipino nation. Just take a close look at the Constitution that EDSA 1986 gave birth to, for instance. Was it not a fact that the promised agrarian reform in that Charter was noth-ing but a fake reform? Was it not true that big estates, like the Hacienda Luisita landholding belonging to the family of Corazon and Noynoy Aquino, were ex-empted from land reform? And, was it not a fact also that the alleged ban in that

Palace wants smuggled rice be given to poor

By jeLLy MUSICO

MANILA -- Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque Jr. said Wednesday he would suggest during the upcoming Cabinet meeting that smuggled rice be distributed to the poor, instead of giving it to the National Food Authority (NFA). “That’s probably something that we will be discussing to the next Cabinet meeting in March,” Roque said in an interview with radio dzMM. The next Cabinet meeting is set on Monday, March 5. Roque said the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) could handle the rice distri-bution through its Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. Recently, Senator Cynthia Villar, chairperson of the Senate committee on agriculture and food, recommended that smuggled rice be channeled to

the NFA, to be sold at a low price. “You know that policy is too long and it is not like (smuggled) cars that are being destroyed for a lesson,” Roque said. “This is really, because it

is food, it may be necessary for those who are hungry, for our people.” Roque said his suggestion aims to prevent the possibility of smuggled

DAVAO CITY -- Resigned vice mayor Paolo Duterte could still muster votes if he runs again for political office based on the net political capital in a local survey in Davao City. But Dr. Adrian Tamayo of the University Of Mind-anao’s Institute of Popular Opinion (IPO) said the former vice mayor’s net political capital of 38 per-cent could slip through his fingers if left uncared. DAVAO CITY -- The Philip-pine National Police (PNP) launched Southern Storm, an interagency security and disaster simulation exercises in Davao City on Wednes-day. The Southern Storm simulation exercises include a bomb explosion, an am-bush and hostage-taking scenarios at the Abreeza Mall. Recorded scenarios of simulated exercise (SIMEX) tested the police, the secu-rity forces, the local govern-ment leaders, including the barangays their capability and readiness to respond to a crisis like terrorism, law enforcement, insurgency and disaster. Davao City is piloting Southern Storm, an inter-agency security and disaster simulation exercises led by the PNP. The city was chosen as the pilot area because it is not only the hometown of President Rodrigo Duterte but also of the high-level

PNP launches ‘Southern Storm’ in Davaothreat in Mindanao. PNP Deputy Director General for Operations Ca-milo Pancratius Cascolan said a 5 to 10-minute lock-down will be implemented along J.P Laurel Avenue – Abreeza Mall area because of the scenarios that will happen outside the mall plus the evacuation of people from the building. Cascolan said there might be rerouting of ve-hicles along the area fronting the mall. “The area should be clear,” he said in a phone interview. The exercise will also involve the barangay of-ficials and some residents of Barangay 20-B. Some personalities will take the role of mayor, coun-cilors, other heads of agen-cies to determine how they respond to crisis especially in terror incidents. The interagency security and disaster simulation ex-ercise project is of national scope. This will determine

the interoperability of the police organization. The project has compo-nents to include the Crisis Response System where there will be simulation exercises in several areas towards the last week of the month or first week of February. Cascolan said the next SI-

MEX will be in the National Capital Region (NCR),. However, he said it depends on PNP Chief Director Gen-eral Ronald dela Rosa where to hold the next activity. Cascolan had earlier ex-plained that Southern Storm is also to plan counter-terrorism strategy, including senior decision-making,

operational and tactical responses. This would gauge the level of understanding, re-sponse, and readiness of all those involved. This would also help authorities identify gaps, weaknesses, and find ways to improve response system of the government.

What are the procedures once an earthquake happens, where do they go?” Ablan added. job vacancies–4,156 local and 12,000 overseas–from 51 participating employers The job fair also re-corded a total of 2,101 ‘near hire’ applications, the BLE report said. ‘Near hires’ are job ap-plicants who may be con-sidered as hired but need to submit additional or lacking requirements or may need to attend further interviews or tests. They may be hired or placed depending on the outcome of their interview and com-pliance of pre-employment requirements of the hiring company. A jobseeker may be considered ‘near-hire’ in several companies that he or she has applied to during the job fair. “As we bring TNK to the local communities across the country, we aim for increased employability and accessibility of our

jobseekers to available jobs…On the heels of the recent developments involving our migrant heroes in the Middle East, this undertaking opens brighter opportunities for many and greatly empower our local communities,” said Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III in his message read by Undersecretary Domina-dor Say on his behalf. Among the local jobs with the most number of vacancies are promo staff/specialist, finishing mason, cashier, merchandiser, and sales clerk from employers such as DDT Konstract, Inc., Mercury Drug, CNT Promo and Ads, Fineco Manage-ment Corp., and Humble Beginnings. Meanwhile, the overseas jobs with the most number of vacancies are nurse, service crew, cleaner, factory worker, and sales clerk/worker from recruitment agencies such as

It is our way of giving back for their support and letting us operate in their community.” Currently, Hedcor is operating 22 run-of-river hydropower plants in the Philippines. special projects. Moving forward, Hedcor is seeing a step-up to more sustainable projects. A special ingredient of Hedcor’s CSR projects is employee volunteerism. Though the communities are the primary beneficiaries of CSR, its effect expands to the employees of Hedcor. Hedcor encourages employ-ees to be involved in CSR activities such as medical missions and environmental activities. Nova Baldo, Hedcor CSR specialist said “Hedcor is a niche for professional growth and a workplace that has a social purpose. Hedcor lets us obtain our personal mission to positively con-tribute to the communities through joining CSR activi-ties.” Numerous studies con-firm that employees who have a sense of purpose at work are high performers and more productive.

Of the 606 job applicants who have qualified for the offered vacancies, 133 of them were hired-on-the-spot by participating em-ployers. One jobseeker who im-mediately found employ-ment was Jerome Limatoc, who was hired as a mer-chandiser at Farm Fresh Philippines. He is set to undergo training and will be assigned to a store near his residence. “Nagpapasalamat ako na sa unang booth pa lang na pinuntahan ko ay hired na agad ako. Sa palagay ko po dahil sa work experience at skills ko kaya ako natang-gap agad sa trabaho,” said Limatoc, who has now found regular employment after being an ‘endo’ worker. Other hired-on-the-spot jobseekers were Richard Enteria, who was a former overseas Filipino worker in Taiwan, and Salvador Ma-cahilig, who was a former employee of a restaurant that closed shop due to bankruptcy. They were hired as butch-er and merchandiser at Meat World, respectively. Jobs fair is an employ-ment facilitation strategy aimed to fast-track the meeting of jobseekers and employers/overseas recruit-ment agencies in one venue at a specific date to reduce cost, time and effort par-ticularly on the part of the applicants. The survey showed that for every 100 Dabawenyos, 54 considered the resigna-tion unnecessary; 34 sup-ported it; while, 12 were hesitant to give an opinion. The IPO noted that those who remain unmoved by the resignation amidst the controversies are mostly found in the first district. Tamayo said the former vice mayor maintains higher popularity rate in the second district compared to the third district. Paolo also has a strong following among the 30-39 years old and a good number of them belong to Class C. In reaction to the sur-vey, the former vice mayor thanked the people for the continued trust and support as one of the leaders in the city. In a press statement, Paolo said, “It was my honor to have served you, and I will always be honored to continue serving you in the best possible way -- even if I am out of politics.” But he asked the under-standing of the Dabawenyos on his decision. “Dili sad to dali, apan nakabalo naman kamo sa akong rason ug sa akong kahimtang (It was not easy, but you know my reason and my situation),” he said. “I truly value your un-wavering support and trust. While I am humbled by this, it gives me the courage and the inspiration to work and support the objectives, plans, and programs of both our local government and national government as a private individual,” Paolo added. Given this, the presiden-tial son urged the people to continue helping the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte overcome challenges it is facing. (Lil-ian C. Mellejor/PNA)

the mall management to complete the demolition within a period of 30 days from the starting date. The mall applied for demolition last February 2 and paid the city a permit fee worth P187,854, she said. However, Catubig said she has no knowledge about the schedule of the demoli-tion because they leave it up to the mall management to decide when after being issued with a permit but they are required to inform the city government at least five days before they would start the demolition. Catubig said they sug-gested that the building be demolished immediately as it might pose some risks and to prevent people from

“In general, the Dabawe-nyos still trust Paolo as their leader. Fifty-eight in every 100 maintain sus-tained confidence while the remaining 42 percent lost their confidence. Therefore, Paolo maintains a net politi-cal capital of 38 percent,” explained Tamayo during the Kapehan sa Dabaw at the SM City Annex on Monday. With a very narrow win-dow of 4 percent, Tamayo said Paolo would need a good machinery and ef-fective political strategy to get back from where he has left. To recall, the former vice mayor resigned from his post at the height of the issue between him and his daughter Isabelle. He was also dragged into the con-troversial smuggling issue at the Bureau of Customs. According to Tamayo, the IPO conducted the survey to get the opinion and to measure the sentiments of the Dabawenyos on Paolo’s resignation.

crime is the responsibil-ity of everyone,” the mayor said. She said the coopera-tion, support, and patience of Dabawenyos during the conduct of the exer-cises will strengthen our readiness and capability to ensure the safety of our city and our communities against the threats of ter-rorism and crime.” The mayor had stressed the importance of being prepared for any eventual-ity considering that the city had already experienced several violent incidents such as the bombing of Roxas Night Market while New People’s Army (NPA) has continued its opera-tions in the hinterlands of the city despite the city government’s effort to reach out to them. illegally barging into the building to scavenge for scraps. The permit stated the de-molition would commence only after the “building has been vacated and all utility lines such as electric, gas, telephone and water instal-lations have been discon-nected.” It added that the demoli-tion will be undertaken in accordance with Rule XV on “Protection and Safety Re-quirements for construction and demolition of building/structure” of the Implement-ing Rules and Regulations of the Presidential Decree (PD) 1096, or the National Building Code of the Philip-pines. The combined floor area of the four-story building is 60,568 square meters, Catubig said. Thea Padua, NCCC spokesperson and public relations manager, said there’s still no target date for demolition, pending submission of the report of the investigation conducted by the Interagency Anti-Arson Task Force. She added they are also waiting for the result of the investigation by US-based third party investigators. As of 3:00 p.m. on Tues-day, Interagency Anti-Arson Task Force deputy team leader and spokesperson Fire Supt. Jerry Candido has yet to respond to inquiry regarding update of the investigation. BFP recommends demoli-tion On December 25, BFP-11 director Senior Supt.. Wilberto Rico Neil A. Kwan Tiu recommended the de-molition of the NCCC Mall as the fire could cause the 14-year-old building to col-lapse. He said the interior of the mall, including the roof, mostly caved in, which made it difficult for firefighters and responders to go deeper into the building during their operations. The collapsed rear por-tion of the mall can be seen from the outside. “The damage is so much, the entire building is totally damaged except the ground floor,” Kwan Tiu said. He said all the debris from the collapsed floors looked like “pancakes” lay-ing on top of one another while the other parts could be triggered even by a slight movement. Kwan Tiu said firefight-ers braved a thick black smoke that covered the entire mall and a tempera-ture ranging from 500 to 700 degrees Celsius that was enough to melt their protective gears.

38 victims On December 24, rescu-ers recovered one of the 38 missing victims inside the comfort room on the fourth floor where most of the trapped workers reportedly huddled shortly after the fire broke out at 9:30 a.m. on December 23. O n D e c e m b e r 2 5 , Christmas Day, Kwan Tiu announced after a mass

held outside the mall that rescue and retrieval op-eration workers recovered 36 “charred” bodies at the lobby of the SSI office on the fourth floor. Ten days later, January 4, the last remaining body of the 38 missing was re-covered in a small crack on the floor, within the area where authorities recovered remains of 36 bodies. Candido told reporters in a teleconference on January 2 that NCCC Mall Davao and the call center tenant failed to comply with fire safety requirements as they found lapses in the setup of the mall’s fire alarm, sprinkler system, and fire exits. The task force is com-posed of reoresentatives from the Department of Interior and Local Govern-ment, Bureau of Fire Pro-tection, National Bureau of Investigation, Department of Justice, and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 11. The SSI occupied the entire 4,000-square meter space on the fourth floor that was also accredited by Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA). (Antonio L. Colina IV / MindaNews)

-ooo-NOYNOY SHOULD BE THE ONE TO CLOSE HiS MOUTH: According to the Book of the Law, those who engage in wrongdoing or abuse against their fellow men insist on living their lives in darkness to pre-vent others from becoming aware of their misdeeds. This was how I viewed former President Noynoy Aquino’s appearance at the House of Representatives on Monday, February 26, 2018, on the issue of Dengvaxia. He bemoaned his desire for a “loud forensic expert” to stop public discussions of the ill-effects of Dengvaxia of Sanofi (a French phar-maceutical firm), allegedly because the expert was not qualified to talk about the matter. Well, is it not true that the expert had been talking merely about his findings in his examinations? It is Noynoy who should stop

we giving our young people the right education so that we can get them to be pro-ductive for the next 10 or so years? Is our economy on a steady climb to seven, eight or nine percent? Sadly and admittedly, all these traits redound to Pinoy bad habits. These are crab mentality, ningas-cogon, procrastination, Filipino time, being onion-skinned, and utter disregard for ex-isting ground rules. Undoubtedly, we are an awesome and amazing peo-ple, but sad to note that these bad traits have continued to pull us down as a nation. Sigh. ([email protected])

-ooo-PUBLiC APOLOGY FOR FOODSPHERE, iNC.: I am confirming what I posted in my social networking accounts (Facebook, Twit-ter, and Instagram) about the public apology in favor of CDO Foodsphere, Inc. In the 14 years that I was locked in various legal battles with it in connection with the 50 libel cases or so that CDO filed against me, I saw that this experience I underwent with them was actually used by God for a beneficial purpose. The truth was that, during all the times that I tangled with CDO, it was then that the Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ Church (or the Simbahang Anak ng Diyos Kadugo Ni Kristo, AND KNK)---a fast-growing Christian Church preaching that Jesus is God and Savior, and is God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit---was fully established. From hindsight, I now believe that if I did not encounter this problem with CDO, AND KNK would not be put up and then flourish. Thank God in the Name of Jesus, and thank you, CDO Foodsphere, Inc.
