INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Mission: establish UNICEF Ethiopia as the go-to agency for children in Ethiopia on all digital platforms. My work: develop UNICEF Ethiopia’s four-year strategy for digital media; operate seven social media channels (facebook, twitter, linkedin, flickr, youtube, tumblr, delicious, and wordpress); and train 150 staff across the organization in seven regionsResult: redeveloped unicef.org/ethiopia from scratch, increased twitter engagement from less than 200 to over 2000 followers, and achieved a 141% ROI on campaigns.

Mission: Develop and implement a communications strategy from scratch. My work: Marketing Communications: fulfil all communications obligations in sponsorship agreements signed between the EAF and sponsors. Communications Products: created the first ever official website, newsletter, mailing list for events and media releases Media Services: Accreditation, telecom and results services, and broadcast services. Also provide media development training for media, athletes, coaches, and senior EAF and governmental executives.
