Game Notes20-Plus for Hogan: Ashton Hogan ’15 knocked-in a pair of goals in Elmira’s Tuesday night win over Williams, in-creasing her season total to 21 goals. Hogan becomes the first player in NCAA Division III women’s ice hockey this season to score 20 or more goals and just the third player across all divisions to reach the 20-goal plateau.

Ryan Inches Closer: With 133 career points, Ashley Ryan ’15 owns the seventh spot in EC history for career points and is just two away from moving into a tie for sixth place. Also, her 36 points this season are just eight shy of moving into a three-way tie for ninth place for single-season points in EC history. With eight more points, she will become the first player to crack the top-10 since the 2008-09 season.

The Wilgosh & Piku Show: Defensemen Brooke Wilgosh ’15 and Phoebe Piku ’16 continue to produce from the blue line for the Soaring Eagles as the duo has logged 16 points apiece this season. With 1.07 points per game, Wil-gosh and Piku lead the nation in defensemen scoring.

Looking Ahead: Following today’s contest with the Cou-gars, the Elmira women will travel to take on the defending NCAA Tournament Champions, Plattsburgh State, for one of the year’s most anticipated two-game series. The first of two games is slated for Saturday, January 31st at 3:00 p.m.

Game NotesProgram Best: Chatham University is compiling the best season in program history this year. With seven victories, the Cougars have eclipsed their previous-best win total of five set twice in 2008-09 and 2009-10. Chatham is also on pace to have the best scoring season in program history as the Cougars need just eight goals over the final 10 games to exceed the 44 goals scored by the 2009-10 Chatham team.

Seven Wins from Two Teams: All of Chatham’s seven wins in 2014-15 have come against two teams, SUNY Canton and William Smith College. Remarkably, the Cougars have defeated SUNY Canton five times this season, by a com-bined 25-9 score, with three of those wins coming in a one-week span. Chatham’s two wins over William Smith are the Cougars’ only ECAC West Conference wins of the season.

Finishing Strong: Megan Buchanan ’15 has been Cha-tham’s primary goaltender since stepping foot on campus four years ago and has turned in career numbers in her final season. Buchanan has played in 13 of 15 games this season, compiling a 6-6-0 overall record, recording 326 saves with a .926 save percentage, and posting a 2.09 goals against aver-age. In addition, the senior has three shutouts on the year, giving her the most shutouts in both a single season and in a career in Chatham ice hockey history.
