WELCOME TO THEELITE EIGHT

It has been quite a battle thus far in the Sickest MovieWeapon Tournament. There have been upsets, buzzerbeaters, comebacks, blowouts, and tears of joy anddespair.

We have seen some up and coming stars and some oldveterans, looking to make one last go round.

Making up the Elite Eight we have three of the one-seedsstill playing, including no. 1 overall Jackie Chan. ArnoldsRail Gun in Eraser was unfortunatly upset in the Sweet 16plucky five-seed Thermal Detonator from Star Wars.

All of the two-seeds and four-seeds have been eliminated,including perennial favorite, Dirty Harrys .44 Magnum and

popular sleeper, Chuck Norris Fists.

Also remaining are two six-seeds in Tony Montanas LittleFriend and Christian Bales AK-47 from Rescue Dawn. Theother high ranked weapon remaining is three-seed TheOne from The Matrix films.

Finally in the Predator Regional we have a big mid-major

match-up between Thermal Detonator and surprisingseven-seed Sticky Bomb from Stephen Spielbergs SavingPrivate Ryan!

A surprise Elite Eight appearancefor Tony Montanas best buddy.

In Scarface, Al Pacinoscharacter uses an M-16 AssaultRifle with a M204 40mmGrenade Launcher attachment.Universally known as My LittleFriend.

Defeated (11) Exploding Pen, (3)Flame Thrower, and (2) GoldenGun to advance to the round ofeight.

Many thought the number oneoverall seed, Jackie Chan wouldhave a cake walk into the finalfour. However, Chanencountered some stiffcompetition in the sweet 16.

Chan is a unique weapon. Hehas mastered hand to handcombat in many films while alsohaving an affable, family-friendlyside.

Defeated (16) Blow Dart, (8) BullWhip, and (4) Noisy Cricket to

advance to the round of eight.

The One was an interesting pickhere because it is not a commonobject.

In the Matrix, Keanu Reevesplays Neo. He is a computer

hacker who finds out his truepowers and uses them to try andfree the human race frommachines.

Defeated (14) Cleaver, (11)Machete, and (7) Gloved GunPunch to advance to the round ofeight.

Very few are surprised to see thisfavorite arrive in the Elite Eight

The Light Saber is the weapon ofthe Jedi. A contained laser,capable of slicing through almostanything in the galaxy, it is hard

to imagine a weapon that candefeat it. Well, unless you areHan Solo.

Defeated (16) Credit Card, (9)Bow & Arrow, and (4) ChuckNorris Fists to advance to theround of eight.

The Dirty Dozen Regional

(1) VX Gas Rocket

(6) AK-47

Has to be the biggest surprise ofthe tournament. Seems like toocommon a gun to make it this far,but old reliable may get the lastlaugh.

The AK-47 is used in many films,but specifically by Christian Balein the badass movie, RescueDawn.

Defeated (11) Tommy Gun, (14)Phonebook, and (2) .44 Magnumto advance to the round of eight.

The weapon that actually droveNic Cage insane may have theclearest path to the Final Four

To quote Gen. Patterson: Oneteaspoon of this hits the floor, it'slethal up to a hundred feet. Oneteaspoon of this shit detonated inthe atmosphere. It will kill everyliving organism in an eight-blockradius. Get the point?

Defeated (16) Screwdriver, (8)Claws, and (5) Hatchet toadvance to the round of eight.

Predator Regional

This improvised device has takendown the big boys already andnow has a chance to shock the

world with a Final Four trip.

In Saving Pvt. Ryan, we haveone of the only Oscar worthyteams in the bracket. That maymean something to thesophisticated voters.

Defeated (10) Throwing Knives,(2) Chainsaw, and (3) BFG toadvance to the round of eight.

Our second Star Wars entrant tothe final eight has already takendown a number 1.

The dreaded futuristic grenade isa huge hit with George Lucasfanboys. It shocked all of us by

taking down ShwarzeneggersRail Gun in the Sweet Sixteenand may have the best chance oftoppling the other one-seeds.

Defeated (12) Oxygen Tank, (13)Tsai, and (1) Rail Gun to advanceto the round of eight.
