Last 2 years of W-2's and tax returns
2 months of pay stubs and verification of any
other income. Income is needed for anyone
over the age of 19 years old in the household
that is working, full time students excluded.
2 months bank statements (checking and
savings) Clients should show 2 consecutive
months of proof of at least $1,000 in their
bank account to qualify.
DOCUMENTS NEEDED?
THE HOME program is funded by the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development
(HUD). The program offers assistance with
affordable FHA, USDA, or Conventional mortgage
products. This assistance is a soft-second
mortgage, forgiven after 5 years. Should the
homeowner sell, re-fiance or no longer live in the
house as a primary residence before the end of the
five year period, funds must be repaid.
Clients are eligible for UP TO $5,000 for the down
payment and closing costs of theipurchase of their
first home that must be located within Gaston
County. We give every client what they need to
close so some clients don't even utilize the entire
$5,000 allowing us to help more local families.

INCOME LIMITS
To qualify for assistance clients must currently
reside within Gaston County: Belmont,
Bessemer City, Cherryville, Cramerton, Dallas,
Gastonia, Lowell, McAdenville, Mount Holly,
Ranlo, Stanley, Unincorporated areas of Gaston
County, or within the city limits of Kings
Mountain (both Gaston and Cleveland)

Gather up all the required documents and call
to make an appointment. At your appointment,
staff will review your income, debt and credit
and counsel you about the home buying
process.
Clients are required to attend one home buyer
education class (typically held once a month
on Saturday morning)
