•• God’s mercy is limitless. Sometimes the simplest and best prayer in times of trouble is the prayer that says, “Lord, have mercy!” In fact, in the Gospels, it was

often the Lord’s mercy that prompted many of the great physical healings that He performed. If your mind is distracted or confused and you can’t seem to get your

thoughts together, simply call out to God for His mercy.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Isaiah 25:4a You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in his dis-tress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat.

•• These are comforting words when the winds of adversity are howling around you. Whatever your personal “storm” is, no matter how high the “heat” is on you,

you can count on God to be a refuge for you in your time of need.

Romans 10:14 “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can

they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without some-

one preaching to them?GOOD NEWS!

It is written in the New Testament Holy Bible in Mark 5:18-20, As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. Jesus did not let him,

but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” So the man went

away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the peo-

ple were amazed. Question- What has God done for you? Their are many things that can cause

peoples to be distracted from maintaining a consistent relationship with God through the salvation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Their is absolutely no doubt in my mind that

everyone who is reading these words has expe-rienced the goodness of God just as the demon-

possessed man, encountered His good news.

Allow me to point out the type of life this man had as a result of his one time life of

demonic-possession. It is written in Mark 5:3, “This man lived in the tombs..,” Mark 5:3, “and no one could bind him anymore, not even with

a chain.” Mark 5:4,”For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains

apart and broke the irons on his feet.” Mark 5:4,”No one was strong enough to subdue him.” Mark 5:5, “Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself

with stones.” In our age today their are people everywhere that perhaps live if not in the very

same torment like this once demon-possessed man, they are tormented in many other ways.

Question- Do you know someone that is now in this type of bondage? The only remedy for any case is found in God through Jesus Christ, he is

the foundations of the earth? Before the worlds were ever formed, He knew you. And, He didn’t create you to be average. He didn’t

create you to barely get by. No, He created you to excel! Not only has He chosen you,

but He has equipped you with everything you need to live and thrive in this life. He has deposited seeds of greatness inside every

person. But in order to tap into those seeds of greatness, you have to believe this and

act on it.

Too many people today are going around with low self-esteem, feeling inferior like they don’t have what it takes. But that is living a lie. And as long as we have a poor self-image, we’re not going to experience

God’s best. In order to be all that God has called us to be, we have to see ourselves as

chosen, valuable and victorious.

Today, meditate on this truth. Let it sink down deep into your heart. Let it build con-

fidence and security in you. As you under-stand your value in the eyes of God, you’ll be empowered to live the life of victory He has

prepared for you!

Thank You for equipping me. Help me to see myself the way You see me. Show me Your ways that I may walk with You in confidence and trust all the days of my life in Jesus’ name.

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria We’ve all had seasons when the challenges of life feel overwhelming. During those times, it’s easy to be tempted to talk about how bad things are. Maybe you received a bad medical report, or maybe you’re facing a financial obstacle. But the more you talk about something, the bigger it becomes in your mind. Instead, you’ve got to dig your heels in and say, “No, I am not going to give life to that defeat. I am not going to speak sickness over myself. I’m not going to speak lack. I’m not going to speak fear. I’m choosing a different report. I believe the report of the Lord which says I am blessed. I am favored. I am prosperous. I am healthy. I am whole. I’m a vic-

tor, not a victim.”

Remember, even if you don’t see how things could ever work out, God does. You’ve got to speak to those mountains in your life and de-clare favor over those situations. Instead of talking to God about how big your problems are, talk to your problems about how big your God is! As you speak to your mountains, they will be moved, and you will move forward into

the victory God has prepared for you!

CONTINUED FROM PAGE 4Imagine living like this demon-possessed man, in tombs, chained, subdued, crying, cutting up the

flesh with stones. Imagine the pain he experi-enced physically and emotionally, and not only

was he hurting it also brought fear to those that lived around him. Imagine if someone where you live today was in this type of bondage, would

he be able to roam around in the cemetery, of course not he would be incarcerated by the au-thorities. Somewhere, someone, today is hurting if not in this manner in another form, a painful

disease, a broken heart, shattered dreams, or in an area that is personal and profound that

maybe cannot even be described. But let me tell someone you are not reading this article by

accident, it is written in Mark 5:2, “When Jesus got out of the boat, ...” a tormented hurting life

changed to a destiny of good news.

Prior to the encounter with this man Jesus had been teaching the crowds of people by the lake

side on the other side, as they were crossing through the lake a furious storm broke out.

Jesus calmed the storm and they arrived safely to the other side, and it was, “When Jesus got

out of the boat, ...” the demon-possessed man ap-proached him, and we find the scriptures tell us when nothing or no one else could do anymore

for this man, JESUS! Please do not miss this, Mark 5:15, “When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed in his right mind;..” Family,

friend JESUS can calm the storm in your life, change what no one or anything else can, “Go home to your own people and tell them how

much the Lord has done for you,...” his mercy will amaze, He is good news.

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Are you going through a difficult time today? Let me challenge you: don’t use your words to describe your

situation, use your words to change your situation! All through the day you should go around saying, “I have the favor of God. I can do all things through

Christ. I am blessed. I’m strong. I’m healthy.” When you speak like that, you are blessing your life. You are

speaking favor into your future.

When you get up in the morning, if you aren’t feeling up to par, don’t set the tone of the day by speaking it. Don’t ever say, “This is going to be a lousy day. I

don’t want to go to work. I’m tired of dealing with these children.” No, get up and say, “This is going to be

a great day. I’m excited about my future. Something good is going to happen to me.”

Always remember, send your words out in the direc-tion you want your life to go. Let His Word always be on your mouth. His Word will never return void. It will accomplish what it was set forth to do. So set

forth His Word and move forward in blessing and vic-tory all the days of your life!
