WHAT IS THE RULE OF 3RS?

THE RULES OF 3Rs :

● Reduce - reduce the amount of trash that each of

us produces;

● Reuse - choose products and packages that can

be used several times;

● Recycle - put some products that go to waste in

the respective recycle bin.

APPLYING THE RULE OF 3RS

REDUCE

Take our own bags for shopping;

Prefer: -large packets to small;

-recyclable packings or recycled material;

-cloth napkins and tablecloths to paper;

-paper bags to plastic ones;

-public transport to individual.

APPLYING THE RULE OF 3RS

REUSE

reuse plastic or glass containers for other purposes;

take sheets of paper already used;

give clothes, shoes, toys and books;

use carton boxes to keep school materials;

food leftovers for other dishes;

used water for watering the plants.

RECYCLE

Recycle all materials in the respective recycle bin:

-yellow bin– plastic and metal;

- green bin – glass;

- blue bin – paper, carton and newspapers;

- oil bin–used oil;

- battery bin – used batteries.

ADVANTAGES OF 3RS RULE

ADVANTAGES:

Reduction of:-

the amount of raw materials needed to

manufacture new products

the amount of waste landfilled;

water pollution of rivers and

seas;

air pollution.
