BUILDING QUALITY SINCE 1968.

Behind all the distinguishing features of an Atlantis there is the strength

of a great leader; the Azimut Benetti group, with its philosophy of

always pivoting on large-scale investment in tecnology and research.

Atlantis has fully embraced this philosophy, which can be detected in

several design and manufacture solutions, starting from the fully

automated, robot-assisted gel-coating process, which has been

adopted by a very limited number of Shipyards. Another trade-mark of

the Shipyard is the ISS (Integrated Structural System), which is an

innotive system of structural architecture. To guarantee a higher

structural resistance, the hull and the internal elements are integrated in

modules, optimising the weight of the hull. To further increase the

structural performance, a revolutionary system of lamination was

introduced using a method of “Core infusion technology”, developed

and researched by the Centre of Research and Development of the

parent company. After two years of experimenting and many hours of

testing, the whole process is undertaken using a system of vacuum

packing allowing the distribution of the resin to be evenly spread but

at the same time reducing emission by 90%. This safeguards the

workers and the environment. The most modern CAD 3D systems

allow a reliable and precise plan and favours further industrialization of

the product.

Reinforcement materials used for the structure and parts of furnishings

are cut using modern CNC Pantographs, which guarantee precision but

at the same time maintain the characteristics of the materials used.

The boats are fitted out on an assembly line similar to the concept used

in the car industry, organised in phases which allows each worker his

own specialization and maintaining a rigid time table.

On each single phase an obligatory quality control process is carried

out and a general running test at the final stag this includes a pool trial

where the engine and all equipment and installations are tested where

the yacht undergoes 12 hours of in water testing to check for water

infiltration. The whole production cycle is carried out internally in our

modern factory which, following an ambitious investment plan of

expansion, covers a surface area of 30,000 square metres (out of a total

surface area of 60,000 square metres) allowing a significant increase in

the productive capacity. As part of this constant development plan, the

New Service Centre as well as the new Delivery Centre for the Atlantis

range is at Marina di Varazze (Genova) and is owned by the Azimut-

Benetti group. Here is more proof of the constant commitment of the

Shipyard in matching its top-level product quality with the possibility

of making its customers live a true “Atlantis experience”.

Dietro ogni particolare Atlantis, c'è tutta la forza di un grande leader, il

Gruppo Azimut-Benetti e della sua filosofia, da sempre imperniata sui

grandi investimenti tecnologici e sulla ricerca.

Atlantis ha sposato appieno questa filosofia, che si può riscontrare in

molteplici soluzioni progettuali e produttive, a partire dall'automazione

della gelcottatura mediante robot, ancora oggi utilizzata in un numero

ristrettissimo di cantieri. Altro marchio di fabbrica del cantiere è l'ISS (

Integrated Structural System ), un innovativo sistema di architettura

strutturale. Lo scafo e gli elementi interni sono integrati in moduli che

garantiscono maggiore resistenza strutturale, ottimizzando al tempo

stesso il peso dello scafo. Ad incrementare ulteriormente la prestazioni

strutturali, contribuisce un sistema rivoluzionario di laminazione “ad

infusione” messo a punto dal Centro Ricerche e Sviluppo della casa

madre, dopo oltre due anni di sperimentazione e migliaia di ore di test.

Tutto il processo avviene sottovuoto, permettendo una distribuzione

uniforme della resina ed una riduzione del 90% delle emissioni in

atmosfera, a tutela della salute dei lavoratori e dell'ambiente. I più

moderni sistemi CAD 3D consentono una progettazione affidabile e

precisa ed un'agevole successiva industrializzazione del prodotto. I

materiali di rinforzo della struttura e gli elementi d'arredo vengono

tagliati su moderni Pantografi a CNC che garantiscono la massima

precisione e mantenimento delle caratteristiche del materiale nel

successivo assemblaggio.

Le imbarcazioni sono allestite in linee di montaggio di concezione

automobilistica organizzate per fasi, che consentono la

specializzazione delle maestranze ed un rigido mantenimento dei

tempi.

Il controllo qualitativo di ogni singola fase rappresenta un passaggio

obbligato prima di arrivare al collaudo generale, che prevede la prova

in vasca, dove vengono testati motori ed impianti e dove l'imbarcazione

viene sottoposta ad un test idrico della durata di oltre 12 ore per

escludere infiltrazioni d'acqua. L'intero ciclo produttivo è realizzato

all'interno dei moderni stabilimenti che, a seguito di un ambizioso piano

di investimenti, coprono oggi una superficie di 30.000 mq. (su di un'area

totale di 60.000 mq) ed hanno permesso un significativo incremento della

capacità produttiva. In questo piano di costante sviluppo spiccano il

nuovo Centro Servizi e il nuovo Centro Consegne di Atlantis presso la

Marina di Varazze (Genova), di proprietà del Gruppo Azimut-Benetti.

Un'ulteriore dimostrazione del costante impegno del cantiere nel

coniugare la massima qualità dei propri prodotti con la possibilità di

fare vivere ad ogni cliente una vera “Atlantis experience”.
