The purpose of higher education is training of specialists with a high level of professional competence who are capable of continuous expansion and increasing the sum of their knowledge and skills and able to lifelong learning

Various forms of independent learning for students at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology:

tasks for repetition, knowledge keeping and broadening, and training of skills on the given topic (e.g. to make a PowerPoint presentation, to compile a glossary, to prepare tasks on the topic associated with the practical work of a doctor);

tasks for new material perception offered to perform before starting a new particular topic. Such tasks are often used to check a rate of learned material.

achievements in all disciplines taught at the Department. Actual experience with this system has allowed to indicate the following advantages:

Provide a comprehensive assessment of student learning; Increase the level of activity during classes, keep discipline, improve attendance of

lectures and practical classes; Improve objectivity in assessment of students learning by a teacher
