At Schenevus Elementary School, we focus on the whole child, knowing that education is like building a home. When there is a stout foundation and a strong supporting framework, we can ensure our students are primed to move into higher grade levels. Our strategy is to build on each level of knowledge as a student progresses from pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. Our small class sizes allow us to hone in on what students are doing well and determine where they may need help. Our range of student activities help make learning fun and broaden horizons.

Middle School OverviewAt Schenevus Middle School, we acknowledge our students are at an important level of development. The study habits we impart in grades seven and eight, lay the foundation for academic success in high school. Schenevus Middle School students are able to take exploratory STEM courses, among other courses, that build toward the high school curriculum. Our Counseling Office works directly with Middle School students on character building, and there is a greater opportunity for arts and cultural enrichment. Interscholastic athletic, creative arts and club opportunities also foster student growth.

High School OverviewAt Schenevus High School, our goal is to see all of our students graduate with a head start on college and careers. To accomplish this, we have increased programmatic opportunities in recent years and are offering more college-level and Advanced Placement classes than ever before. In addition, we have boosted career exploration opportunities for our high school students and enhanced creative arts and club opportunities. Many of our students also participate in interscholastic athletics and have been recognized through the Scholar/Athlete Program. Our use of the Naviance College and Career Readiness program ensures our students are positioned for success when they graduate.

Eleven new students were inducted into the National Honor Society in Spring 2016, and they are poised to lead Schenevus High School academically in the 2016-17 school year. They are seen here with four 2016 graduates.
