KHARMA ELEGANCE COLLECTION

The actual size of this new Elegance dB9 is

optimized for better performance with respect

to its predecessors of the Ceramique series.

Moreover the beauty of the design has been

improved upon. The mid range of this speaker

is formed by the 7-inch Kharma Composite

driver which is equipped with a new cone

technology developed by Kharma. It con-

sists of ultra high-tech rocket science/formu-

la 1 based fi bres created into a setting with

optimised behaviour for the purpose. Finite

element analysis with advanced computer

systems have leaded to optimized cone-

shapes with a near perfect behaviour for a

7-inch driver. The effect of this innovation

combined with the new development of a

pure Beryllium tweeter is very clearly audible

in even a short listening session.

ELEGANCE DB9

The latest model of the Elegance series is the

new Elegance S7 which stands for single 7,

because of the use of a single 7-inch driver

for the base section. All Elegance models have

the new special feature of trimmable luxury

rings around the drivers, which hide the

mechanical screws of the driver. The unique

feature is that the rings are made magnetic

and so can easily be interchanged with other

versions of the trimmable rings. New Kharma

connectors have especially been designed

for the Elegance series, which is done for user

convenience and for high pressure quality

contact. As a result the Kharma Binding Post

system for the Elegance (KBPS-EL) can

easily give great contact pressure applied

by just the twist of a hand. The internal wire

for the Elegance series is a combination of

unique ultra pure silver conductors yielding to

a highly musical full balanced sound.

ELEGANCE S7

The shape of the cabinets of the new Elegance

series has been unchanged with respect to its

predecessor, the Ceramique series, because

the shape is fully functional to the way the

sound develops from the loudspeakers. This

is a result of the unique polygonal shaped

cabinet for optimum phase behaviour and

minimum group time-delay. Besides, the

cabinet is made of 35 mm MDF to increase

the neutrality of the cabinet and is equipped

with advanced acoustic damping materials to

absorb the energy in a wide frequency range.

The beauty of the new Elegance dB7 is shown

by the many small details. The speaker is

accentuated by many chrome details like the

logo plates on the front and side, parts of the

completely redesigned SDSS-stand and the

detachable grill.

The Elegance collection is succeeding the very successful Ceramique line of high-end loudspeakers from Kharma. The Ceramique loudspeaker line

was introduced in 1998 and the use of Ceramique-based drivers was the reason for naming this series like we did. During the past years Kharma

has been researching new technologies on how to improve and set a new standard again to the high-end audio world. We are now very proud to

offer the very latest high-tech technologies again in the new Elegance series. The shape of the cabinets has been unchanged because the shape

is fully functional to the way the sound develops from the loudspeakers. But the beauty of the design has been improved upon, by redesigning the

stand and bottom, the redesign of the front cover and many other small design details as well as an impeccable surface fi nish of the highest quality

in the industry

The new Elegance Sub is perfect to complete

your Elegance AV-system. Based on a 10-inch

super longthrow aluminum driver, this sub-

woofer can rock your bottom. The amplifi er

inside is of very highend quality, with a DSP

(digital signal processor) to engineer and tailor

the output to match to your main system and

your acoustics. The shape of the Elegance

Sub has been designed to match the Elegance

mainspeakers, but also to blend in easy in

any home environment and at same time the

shape is also functional for a very rigid non

resonant construction of the cabinet, allowing

the subwoofer to be not tracable in the room.

This beautiful new Elegance Center speaker

has been developed for home cinema use to

be placed just below your fl atscreen televisi-

on. With its 4 drivers + HF driver it has the

power to convert your Elegance AV system

into a real 3D- soundfi eld enriching your AV

experience with added detail and dynamics.

The cabinet is fi nished in high gloss Kharma

colours and will blend in easily in your living

room.

The new Elegance Surround speakers are

small and elegant, but fully functional and with

an extended bandwidth, perfectly designed to

setup an elegant AV system with great power

and detail. Using the functional polygoon

shapes to create true non located surround

sound you will fi nd yourself like being immersed

in a giant headphone.

Omega 7 driver which is equipped with a cone technology developed by Kharma. The effect of

this innovation combined with the new development of a pure Beryllium tweeter is very clearly

audible in even a short listening session.

Elegance grill

One of the many design novelties in

the Elegance line is the grill. This new

improved grill is made detachable by

embedded magnets in both cabinet and

grill to really have the freedom to adapt

the Elegance dB9 to your own style.

With grill the Elegance has an elegant and

luxury feeling, where the dB9 without grill

shows the beauty of the new composite

drivers. Therefore the Elegance dB9 can

easily blend in both contemporary as well

as modern interiors.

Drivers

All the drivers of the Elegance are

fully developed by Kharma.

The tweeter is now made of pure

Beryllium, which is the next best material

to Diamond. Furthermore the speaker

is equipped with double 7-inch Kharma

Composite Driver (KCD), which is based

on a new cone technology especially

developed by Kharma.

(Omega 7 for S version).

Stand

A new Spike Disk Suspension System

stand (SDSS-stand) has especially been

developed for the Elegance series.

This beautiful new stand is made of

composite material with a shiny black

fi nish, which is accentuated by a chrome

disk and top cover.
