Vision

To prepare engineers, proficient to meet the needs of current technological advancements in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering by establishing a learning environment consistent with industry standards in academics and research.

Mission

M1: To create a passion amongst students for contributing to research by providing industry oriented learning.

M2: To impart in depth knowledge in principles and applications related to design and development of various systems for societal needs.

M3: To build the skill sets, attitude and core competence of students and faculty by providing them with the opportunity to organize various technical events which will bring out their inherent talents

Program Educational Objectives

PEO1: Graduates will possess competency in mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals for solving Electronics and Communication engineering problems.

PEO2: Graduates will have core engineering knowledge necessary for employment in industries as well as higher studies and research.

PEO3: Graduates will attain organizing capability, entrepreneur skills and will be a team player in workplace with ethics.

PEO4: Graduates will perform effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary environment and makes them ready for the corporate careers ahead.

PEO5: Graduates will have the ability to engage themselves in lifelong learning to achieve professional excellence that

will make impact in the societal and human context.

After graduating from Madras Institute of Technology in 1960, Mr Kalam joined the

Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). He designed helicopters for

the Indian Army, but he always said he didn’t feel at home at the DRDO.

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers Student Forum (ISF) of Easwari

Engineering College received an award from Dr.K T V Reddy, President IETE, Head Quarters, Delhi

with other IETE Zonal Governing Council Members for the “Most Active IETE Student Forum – Best

ISF Award” for the academic year 2018-2019 on 21st September 2019 during the IETE zonal seminar

and ISF Congress meet at Sri Sairam Engineering College. The award was received by

Dr.D.Jessintha, Asso.Prof/ECE, ISF Coordinator and Ms.T.Gophika, Asst.Prof/ECE,ISF Co-

Coordinator with ISF office bearers.

for the academic year 2018-2019 .

After he was transferred to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Mr Kalam worked

as the project director for SLV-III, India’s first indigenous satellite launch vehicle.SLV-III

successfully launched satellite Rohini to orbit on July 1980. From then, Mr Kalam expanded

India’s space programme.

The Institute of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineers had organised the event of Tecontra

In the 1980s he led India’s missile programme. Under his leadership, India became a

major military power after the successes of Agni and Prithvi.

themes ‘Impact of Technology on Environment’ and ‘Awareness of Cyber Crime’, Dr.B.Jesvin Veancy

(Asso.Prof/ECE) as Judge, 18 teams(Two per team) participated.

In 1998, along with cardiologist Dr.Soma Raju, Kalam developed a low cost Coronary

stent. It was named as “Kalam-Raju Stent” honouring them. In 2012, the duo designed

a rugged tablet PC for health care in rural areas, which was named as “Kalam-Raju

Tablet”

In 1998, the Pokhran-II tests cemented India’s nuclear prowess. Mr Kalam played the

pivotal role in the project. He firmly told the international community that such arms

were only to deter other nations from trying to subjugate India, and were only to be

used as “weapons of peace”.

FACULTY PARTICIPATION

Mr. S. R. Sriram, faculty of ECE published a paper titled “An Analytical Model of Single-Event

Transients in Double-Gate MOSFET for Circuit Simulation” scopus indexed in IEEE Transactions on

Electron Devices during September 2019.

Mrs. R.Hema, faculty of ECE has attended DRDO sponsored National Workshop on “Challenges and

research opportunities in Underwater Communication” on 20.9.19 and 21.9.19.

Mr. R. Praveen Kumar, faculty of ECE has attended a National Seminar on " e- Learning and MOOCs

in Higher Education" organized by CTDT Anna University, 14.9.19.

Dr. B.Jesvin Veancy, reviewed paper titled “Angle-Range Estimation method based on Tensor

copletion in FDA-MIMO Radar”, KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems.

Dr. K. Rahimunnisa, faculty of ECE, reviewed paper titled “Composite deep belief network approach

for enhanced antepartum foetal electrocardiogram signal”, Cognitive Systems Research.

Mr.Kamarajan presented his latest research work titled ‘Design of smart meter ATMEL 89S52

Microcontroller’ in the Journal club meeting on 20.9.19.

He was the Chief Scientific Adviser to the Prime Minister and the Secretary of Defence

Research and Development Organisation from July 1992 to December 1999. In a rare

show of unity, all political parties unanimously voted for Mr Kalam in 2002 as the 11th

President of India.

TRAINING TO STUDENTS

Training on “Client Server Programming, World Wide Web and HTTP” enhanced the students

knowledge by the resource person Mr. Huzefa, MCSE CCNA Certified Senior Trainer, Sansbound

Technologies on 30.9.19.

Training delivered to final year students on “Embedded Design”, by industry experts of LIVEWIRE

from 17.9.19 to 23.9.19.

Sansbound Solutions Pvt Ltd provided training to the students on “Ns3 Simulator”, 13.9.19.

PRIDE ACTIVITIES

Seven teams participated in Viswakarma awards and 2 teams were selected for final.

5 proposals were submitted for Erricson Internship.

As President, Mr Kalam personified dignity and optimism throughout India and abroad.

His stirring speeches at the UN and the European Parliament are among the best ever

delivered. His simplicity in oration and action were applauded and made him dear to

all.

S.Vishvesh vaideeswaran, Surya rao, Venkata Subramanian and Adhithya ,third year students of ECE

had participated and presented the paper titled “Automatic irrigation system” in GANDIVA 2.0, a National level project Expo conducted by Jeppiar Institute of Technology on 13.09.19.

Tarun abhaye,Sivaram, Srikrishna and Sathish kumar ,third year students of ECE had participated

and presented the paper titled “Hand gesture vocalization” in GANDIVA 2.0, a National level project

Expo conducted by Jeppiar Institute of Technology on 13.09.19.

After the completion of his term as President, Mr Kalam became a visiting professor,

wrote extensively and launched many initiatives for youth development. “Wings of Fire”

and “India 2020” are modern classics, and have motivated millions of Indians.

conducted in a national level Techfest INVENTE 4.0 organized by SSN college of Engineering on

13.9.19 and 14.9.19.

K.Mugilan ,final year student of ECE, has won First prize in the events “Stranger things”, “Shadow

hunters” and “Adzap” in DRESTEIN 19 ,11th National level Intercollegiate Technical and management fest, held during 6.9.19 and 7.9.19,organized by Saveetha Engineering college, Chennai.

M.Mahavarhini ,Second year student of ECE, has participated in Technobyte Workshop on “Machine

learning with Artificial Intelligence” at IIT Madras during 14.9.19 and 15.9.19.

R. Raaghul, Third year student of ECE, has participated in Television channel, Zee tamil petta rap

show in guitar category telecasted on 01.9.19

development organized by IETE, Chennai centre at Sri Sairam Engineering College on 20.9.19.

held on 19-20 th sep at sathyabama institute of science and technology.

paper “SMART BUS ALERT SYSTEM FOR EASY NAVIGATION OF THE BLIND” in the souvienier of

IETE zonal seminar and ISF CONGRESS ON “SMART ENGINEERING FOR SUSTAINABLE

DEVELOPMENT”, held by IETE Chennai centre.

G.R.Priyadharshini, S.Priyadharshini, C.Rajameena, S.Madhumitha, S.Nishalini, students of ECE had

published their abstract of the paper “A SMART GRID -AN APPLICATION OF INTERNET OF THINGS”

in the souvenir of IETE zonal seminar and ISF CONGRESS ON “SMART ENGINEERING FOR

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT”, held by IETE Chennai centre.

On 27th July 2015, Dr. Abdul Kalam Kalam, took his last breath and his soul dismissed

to rest heavenly forever. His death was a matter of outpouring grief for all Indians. The

Government of India declared a 7-Day State Mourning Period as a mark of respect to

the true legends of India.
