Introduction ElectronicTextiles:electronictextiles,arefabricsthatcanfunctionelectricallyaselectronicsandbehavephysicallyastextileswhichenablecomputing,digitalcomponentsandelectronicstobeembeddedinthem.Partofthedevelopmentofwearabletechnology,theyarereferredtoasintelligentclothingorsmartclothingthatallowfortheincorporationofbuilt‐intechnologicalelementsineverydaytextilesandclothes.

TheGeorgiaTechSmartShirtcanhelpaphysiciandeterminetheextentofasoldier'sinjuriesbasedonthestrengthofhisheartbeatandrespiratoryrate.Thisinformationisvitalforassessingwhoneedsassistancefirstduringtheso‐called'goldenhour'inwhichtherearenumerouscasualties
