Electronic Equipment Shelter & Containerized Systems

Gichner Systems Group’s turn-key electronics enclosures provide users with

a secure, transportable, and scalable environment for housing computer

systems, communications equipment, and other electronic components.

Gichner specializes in the design, engineering, manufacturing, integration,

modification, testing, and repair of both lightweight aluminum shelters

and high payload steel containers. Gichner’s lightweight electronic

equipment shelters are designed to meet the rigid demands of high mobility

applications, and the steel container systems provide capacity for high

payload requirements. Gichner’s modular electronic shelter systems can be

configured for a wide range of applications including data storage facilities,

communications shelters, radar/repeater stations, operations centers, power

generation enclosures, and uninterrupted power supply units.

Electronic Equipment Shelter & Containerized Systems

Lightweight Electronic Equipment SheltersLightweight electronic equipment shelters are rigid wall units designed

for high mobility applications. The shelters are constructed with

lightweight aluminum skins bonded with closed cell core insulation and

are manufactured with a steel ISO skeletal structure, end bands, and base

frame. Custom configurations are available.

Since 1969, Gichner has been a provider of modular electronic shelter systems configured as data storage facilities, communications centers, radar/repeater stations, and ground control equipment and operations command stations. Gichner’s rapidly deployable electronic equipment enclosures are offered with high levels of equipment integration, EMI shielding, power distribution, environmental controls, and various security features. Gichner can custom design individual shelters or leverage from an expansive array of in-house designs to provide a quick response to containerized system needs.

High-Payload Electronic Equipment SheltersHigh-payload electronic equipment shelters are steel containers that

are designed to accommodate payloads in excess of 30,000 lbs and

meet environmental and structural load test criteria for rigid wall

re-locatable structures (in accordance with ASTM E1925-04). They are

constructed of 1.6mil corrugated steel skins welded to a steel ISO

skeleton comprised of a base frame and corner posts with ISO 1161

compliant corner castings. Custom configurations are available.

Custom Configurations and Options:Gichner specializes in system integration and modification to meet unique

end-user needs including:

• Various length, width, and height shelter dimensions

• Trailer mounted systems

• R22 insulation in all walls, floor, and ceiling

• Multiple room, dividing wall, door, and workstation configurations

• Provisioning for joining multiple units by end doors or removable side

panels, forming a connected, environmentally controlled space

• Fire endurance and fire suppression system (ASTM E 119)

• Servers, racks, and computer hardware

• LED lighting

• Onboard power generation

• Uninterrupted power supply (UPS)

• 30-200Amp filtered power management system

• Closed circuit security system

• Secure and non-secure LAN, phone, & power connections with separation

• Custom electrical and mechanical integration
