Electronic Cigarettes

Electronic cigarettes By Carly Armstrong and Grace DillonHistory of electronic cigarettes Electronic cigarettes (also known as e-cigarettes) were first invented in 1963 by Herbert A. Gilbert, a man who was way ahead of his time. He filed a patent for the product But sadly, in that time cigarettes were so common and accepted everywhere in society, and people werent looking for an alternative. There was no market for an alternative smoking device. Also the technology then was lacking 40 years later in 2003, timing became right for e-cigarettes and they were invented by a Chinese pharmacist and smoker named Han Kin. Electronic cigarettes next moved into the American market in 2007His companys name was Ruyan which means like smoke http://www.learn.eversmoke.com/history-of-electronic-cigarettes.html

Reynolds president and CEO of Mott Children's Health Center states the following:

The Michigan Legislature passed a bill to bar minors from purchasing e-cigarettes. Gov. Snyder should veto the legislation because it doesn't go nearly far enough. Michigan should classify e-cigarettes as tobacco products, going beyond a minimum age requirement and ensuring e-cigarettes are subject to all state regulations including the workplace smoking ban.The FutureThis recent news also emphasized the importance of preventing both Americas and Michigans youth from gaining access to the harmful drug. The doctors give a glimpse of what they think needs to be done to better our future.

it's more imperative than ever for lawmakers regulate these devices as tobacco products, putting protection for our citizens and our youth first.Growth of Electronic CigarettesData on the growth of this drug has been found by an investment website looking for products with strong growth patterns:
