Jacob Gardner 37 Southcott Dr. Grand FallsWindsor, NL A2A 2P2 17094864544 [email protected] To whom it may concern, My name is Jacob Gardner, I am an electrical apprentice of three years seeking work in the field and I come backed by a 75% wage subsidy program. I have more than threethousand hours of working experience as well as the nine month introductory course into the trade. Along with that, I currently possess up to date First Aid as well as WHMIS, and am willing and able to attain any other course or certification that is necessary to work for your company. Upon your review of this cover letter as well as the attached resume, I hope that you find my credentials to be satisfactory and that you view me as a strong candidate for employment with your respected organization. I am a hardworking, ambitious young person with vast professional experience, and a nearly unquenchable thirst for knowledge. I am constantly learning, observing and reading about new technologies, and better, more efficient ways of completing tasks. I believe a good employee can be found anywhere, but a great one is a person who has three major values, first and foremost, safety. Secondly, knowledge of the material, environment and task as a whole. And last but certainly not least, productivity. Buisness is buisness at the end of the day, and no matter what, the job comes first, so an employee who is willing to go that extra mile, work an extra hour and really use their head to solve an issue is the kind of employee that an employer can be proud to call part of their team. After developing that knowledge early on in my professional life I’ve decided to take on those three values and use them to develop the core of my own work ethic. I hope that from reviewing my resume and speaking with me, you will be able to see those values in me. Along with my electrical experience you will notice that I am experienced in sales, management, mentoring, leading groups of people, personal and group training, working in other sectors of the trade industry, as well as volunteering. As I mentioned before, I am well experienced across a number of fields, however I do wish to bring one other thing to your attention, and that is my ability to work as part of a team. While many of my professional experiences do feature me as the leader, I truly am able to fit in with the crowd whenever necessary and I do have a great deal of respect for my superiors and the “chain of command”.

developed skills and attributes that I feel make me a strong potential candidate for employment with your organization. These skills include the ability to learn at a rapid pass, ability to lead, and strong communication skills. As well, I have developed a strong understanding of electrical, carpentry, mechanics, grounds keeping, supervising, and educating others. It is because of this particular skill set, and my valuable work experience that I feel I would be an asset to your company.
