After years of research, analyses, and prototyping, United Concept Trainers was formally launched in 2010 to provide a solution for the age-old classroom conundrum; too little budget, too many students, and too little time. Executive BiosNorm Chapman

Norm taught as a Master ASE Certified auto instructor at South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia, Washington, for 30 years, where he also spent time as Dean of Applied Sciences, but opted to return to the classroom, because of his love for teaching, students and cars.

In 1999, Norm wrote the textbook Principles of Electricity and Electronics for the Automotive Technician published by Delmar, and wrote it again in 2010 (2nd Edition).

In 2017, Norm was recognized by Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) as National Automotive Instructor of the Year. Norm is an active Evaluation Team

Lead for the National Automotive Technician Education Foundation (NATEF) and has conducted nearly 200 NATEF evaluations.

Norm also served in the United States Coast Guard for 33 years, including both active and reserve duties, where he served as a Naval Engineer, retiring with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4.

Bryan ChapmanBryan serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of United Concept Trainers. He received an MBA with an emphasis in strategy, all the hands-on skills one acquires as the son of an auto tech nerd, and has more than a decade of experience in leading small businesses.
