Electrical test kitsMTKMegger MTK300 test kits give electrical contractors all theyneed to perform electrical inspection and testing for single andthree phase operations. The kits consist of three instruments, anMIT insulation tester, an LTW 2-wire non-trip earth loop testerand an RCDT residual current device tester, each with batteriesfitted, in a smart case, with a full set of test leads andcalibration certificates. Three kits are available: MTK310,MTK320 and MTK330.

In a scene reminiscent of a James Bond movie, analuminium flight case recently came flying from thewindow of a speeding van on the M69 motorway. The casecontained the latest in electrical testing technology, in theform of a Megger MTK320 electrical contractors’ test kitthat had been stolen from a vehicle belonging to a leadingelectrical training provider.

Despite a rough landing at speeds close to 70 mph, the three testers that make up the kit survivedtheir ordeal completely unscathed. A thorough check in theMegger calibration laboratory showed that none of theinstruments needed even the slightest of adjustments.
