• If you have a battery, a light bulb and wires you can make a circuit. The bulb will light up.

• A circuit is a pathway for electricity to flow along.

What is Electricity?

• Electricity is energy.

• It comes from power stations, then it goes to pylons to a sub station and then it goes through the wires to your house.

Our Inquiry Questions Is:

• How can we make sure that New Zealand always has enough electricity?

My Answer:• We need to keep the dams making electricity.• We need to get more electricity if we have more

people in New Zealand.• We need more dams and windmills and solar

panels to make more electricity.• We should turn off all the things we’re not using

so we can save electricity.• Don’t waste water – we need it to make

electricity.
