Welcome Welcome to electrical. We hope that this booklet will answer some of the questions you might have about your course as well as ensure you are fully prepared to start your study programme with us in September. Please complete the tasks in this booklet as they will ensure you have some foundation knowledge that will help you with your first lessons and give your lecturers a good idea of your starting point. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to in get in touch via the email at the bottom of the page. The team are looking forward to greeting you at the Witney Campus on your first day of term.

Key information Your electrical course is a mixture of practical lessons and theory classes. You will need to be prepared to be in the workshop carrying out practical tasks on most days of your course. What you need to bring to college:

Polo shirt in your course colours and bearing the college logo

Suitable footwear for the workshop; Steel toe cap boots or safety trainers.

Overalls are optional but we recommend that you do not wear your best clothes for practical sessions

Pen and paper

Your college ID You can get a locker from reception for a £10 deposit on your first few days. The lockers are sited in the construction block. The course is three days a week 9:00am to 5:00pm. The actual days that you will attend will be highlighted in your timetable which you will receive on the first day of your course. Your course will include:

Your vocational topic- Electrical Maths and English- depending on your entry grades. A tutorial programme Work experience which you will be expected to arrange The head start programme

At enrolment you will receive your college ID please ensure you always have this with you. If you do not have it for any reason, please ensure you sign in at reception on arrival.
