Celebrating Women in Science champions the work done by women in science fields, at the Museum, in Northeast Ohio and around the globe. The Museum will launch this series of exhibits and events with a special edition of The Explorer Series featuring Harvard theoretical physicist Dr. Lisa Randall.
The centerpiece of the celebration is The Bearded Lady Project: Challenging the Face of Science exhibit, on view at the Museum from Saturday, November 11 through Sunday, February 18. Featuring the Museum’s own Curator of Paleobotany and Paleoecology, Dr. Denise Su, this national touring photography exhibit showcases the work of brilliant female paleontologists while shining a light on the challenges they face in a male-dominated field.
Accompanying The Bearded Lady Project, will be a Museum-produced exhibit that introduces guests to the many accomplished female scientists who work at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History and blaze new trails of discovery every day.
The Cleveland Museum of Natural History celebrates the incredible stories and achievements of women in science
and their impact on a new generation.
