• GLDAS: offline VIC-simulation (well-calibrated hydrologically oriented surface scheme)

• ELDAS1: offline TESSEL-simulation• ELDAS2: assimilated run• Optional: use GLDAS precip dataset (currently not

yet available for 2000)– ELDAS1 – GLDAS: 2 surface schemes driven

as in GLDAS (no data assimilation)– ELDAS2 – ELDAS1: added value of data

assimilation



• Baltex wp (5400)– Original: use 18-year dataset to compare
