Elbit Systems Naval Systems: Bringing the benefits of net-centric

interoperability to the entire naval fleet

Elbit Systems empowers naval commanders and crews with the secure, reliable and constant access to the information they

need to interact with air and land forces

The new battle-space scenario demands force interoperability and a net-centric approach to the entire naval fleet. The naval force of the future will be linked so that all personnel and platforms operate jointly to rapidly sense, assess and respond to threats. The Company is well positioned to meet the challenge, with over three decades of experience in design and development of high performance naval systems. Moreover, decades of expertise in the areas of radar, navigation, communications, command & control, electronic warfare (EW), electronic support measures (ESM) and electronic intelligence (ELINT) have resulted in the ability to offer comprehensive solutions, systems integration, services and long-term support for naval customers. Our naval combat experience is expressed in a broad range of systems including shipboard combat management systems assuring information dominance over potential enemies, supporting a Common Tactical Picture (CTP), shortening decision cycles and executing rapid, accurate weapon engagement. Our submarine ELINT systems detect and recognize threats under dense electromagnetic conditions.

Force interoperability and net-centric capability are today’s keys to superiority at sea. Elbit Systems’ fleet of high performance naval systems deliver both to support dominance in today’s complex combat scenarios. helicopter, fixed wing and ground platforms, CoMPASS™ has a proven record of withstanding even the harshest environmental conditions.

Micro CoMPASS™

The Micro CoMPASS™ Micro Compact Multi Purpose Advanced Stabilized System is a day and night surveillance system. Featuring compact dimensions (small 8” turret), light weight, high degree of stabilization and high performance sensors, Micro CoMPASS™ is an optimal solution for seaborne electro-optics surveillance systems, unmanned vehicles, fire control systems and search and rescue missions.

Remotely Controlled Armament System:

MINI ORCA 7.62 Overhead Remotely Controlled Armament SystemThe Mini-ORCA 7.62 Overhead Remotely Controlled Armament system is fully stabilized and designed for optimal integration into virtually any naval platform with no deck penetration. A major boost to crew safety and survival, the Mini-ORCA allows naval crews total remote control of all weapon system functions. Installation of the unmanned turret requires no internal volume or deck penetration thus preserving the internal naval vessel configuration and allowing

the required number of crew members .The system is designed for easy integration with all Combat Management Systems (CMS) and Fire Control Systems (FCS). All weapon functions are remotely and electrically operated from within the crew compartments without exposure to external hazards. The Mini-ORCA features proprietary Elbit Systems technology and represents true step functions in response to asymmetric warfare challenges. Its unique design is based on extensive battlefield experience in full scale and low intensity conflicts.

Unmanned Surface Vessels (USV):

Naval Training Systems:

Naval Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (NCMI)The NCMI System instruments the different combat systems and stimulates superimposed detections of virtual targets while displaying actual detections on the operational systems. The coherent exercise situation is distributed via a dedicated Data Link simulation network to all participants. The NCMI solution was designed by naval officers in order to achieve high level warfare training. The NCMI is a full scale ready to run on-board training system. The NCMI provides cutting edge on-board training system both ashore and at sea.

Naval Tactical Trainer (NTT) The NTT provides an advanced tactical and procedural warfare training system, covering multi-threat scenarios including anti-surface warfare, anti-submarine

Page 6: Elbit Systems Advanced Naval Solutions

warfare, anti-air warfare, counter-terrorism operations, littoral warfare, electronic warfare, and more. NTT allows training to be carried out with worldwide multi-threat scenarios from subunit to force levels. The NTT can be easily expanded to support operator's training at console level allowing for the simulation and stimulation of specific combat systems. NTT provides trainees with a realistic, up-to-date naval operations environment, in which the participants draw upon their theoretical knowledge and undertake naval operations in real-time for training purposes, with the objective of improving their abilities, and the testing and evaluation of new tactics. NTT architecture enables the connection and sharing of the training scenario with other tactical training systems and, thus, supports the provision of joint force tactical training.

Periscope SimulatorSimulator operators training at sea require extensive expensive submarine and target ship resources are constrained by safety limitations, environment conditions, and train in an arena which is uncontrollable and unpredictable. The Periscope simulator answers the training need by Injecting high fidelity realistic 3D image of the naval arena to a Mockup/real periscope hence providing actual periscope operation feeling and allowing training at various arenas vs. various target types.

Elisra's Naval Capabilities:

Integrated EW and Intelligence SystemsThrough our 70% owned subsidiary Elisra, Elbit Systems offers a board range of advanced integrated Naval Electronic Warfare (EW) and Intelligence systems for the latest generation corvettes, fast attack boats and submarines, ranging from integrated 4th generation EW suits (ESM / ECM / ELINT), COMINT DF, to Integrated Communications Systems and COMJAM.
