Greetings from the National President It was nice to see so many members from so many different states at the NLPOA 42 Annual Training Conference in sunny Miami, Florida.
This year training was exceptional and there was training in special response training, heroes behind the badge, hate crimes, robbery intervention, police leadership, international fugitive investigations, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, mortgage fraud, internal affairs, cyber tracking, critical incidents, tactical narcotics, racial profiling, police officer stress, organized motorcycle gangs, major scene management, Hispanic prison gangs, and police drones.
Miami was a great location for a training conference and a lot was accomplished at the national meeting. The by-laws were revised making our organization stronger. Please review them as soon as they are posted on the website so you can remain an informed and active member. Andrew Peralta National NLPOA President Phone: 1-702-204-6383 Email: [email protected]

Savannah Solis a 10 year old girl from Texas wearing her hand made blue lives matter t-shirt attended the 2015 National Police Week Candle Light Vigil and passed out cards with candy attached to every police officer she could find. This year they read out an additional 273 names at the ceremony. Savannah gave me a card that said “Dear Police Officer, My name is Savannah and I am 10 years old. I just want to say thank you for taking care of so many people every day. You are my hero. I am so glad we have you. You are brave too. I hope you like the chocolates. I pray that God will protect you and please keep watching out for us. Love, Savannah.” Thank you. Savannah! By John McLaughlin, Ph.D.
