Our school facilities and grounds are continually maintained and updated. These holidays the Kensington building has been painted internally and the roof cleaned, the LINC has had all gutters and spouts cleaned out and another 12 playground rocks have been added. Further ground work will see an extension to the northern staff car park, the addition of an electronic highway sign and our vegetable garden being moved between the grade 1 portables. The school council Grounds sub committee meets in our staff room between 5:30-6pm on the third Tuesday of each month. The next meeting is on Tuesday 18th August. We would love to have you join us.
What is going to happen at the student led conferences next week?
Josh and Bonnie from Grade 4 ‘ We are very excited to lead our learning conference with our
parents. Last year we were very nervous but this year we know what to expect, so we are really
organised. We will present one piece of work for writing, reading and maths. Then we get to
choose another piece of work which we are particularly proud of. We think that everyone at the
conference table will be impressed. We recommend that parents enjoy the conference, feel the
stretch and ask us lots of questions.’
Tyler and Jade from Prep We are going to show our mums and dads our work. We think our
mums and dads will say: - You are excellent! Great job! ‘Mums will say, ‘Beautiful’ and Dads will
say, ‘Cool’.
Hamish and Kaylie from Grade 6 We could show our parents so much as we have completed a
great deal of work this year. At the conference we will present snapshots of our learning which we
are proud of and tasks which show our learning strengths. (What we have nailed and what is
next for us.) We recommend that our mums and dads come along, relax, enjoy, ask questions and
make sure you are on time.

A Minion Ways to Exercise Wall In the foyer of the Gymnasium we now have a wall dedicated to our students (and Minions). The display is designed to be organic therefore we need you to help in grow. All you have to do is get a picture of yourself exercising (6cm x4cm print maximum) and bring it to class. I will get our friends the Minions to help pin it to the board. This will showcase how fit our students in our school really are. Thank you to Fiona Blyth for her handy work in creating the display for me.

Seasons Program We are offering again the Seasons program to any students whose parents believe that this may be beneficial for them. The “Seasons” program is of Australian origin and is aimed at student that have experienced loss, grief or might be in the middle of change, through separation, divorce, life threatening illness, death or disabil-ity. The Seasons program helps children to have a healthy adaptation to loss and change and equips them to be-come more resilient as well as having an environment to talk with their peers about similar issues. Confidentiality is an important component of this program.
The program will run on Fridays with Natasha Rae and Cheryl Hair, who are trained facilitators. If you feel that your child may benefit from this program, could you please fill out the bottom section of this form and return to the school as soon as possible. Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability
‘Collection Notice’
All schools in Australia, including Independent and Catholic schools, will participate in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability this year.
The Data Collection is an annual count of the number of students with disability receiving educational adjustments to support their participation in education on the same basis as students without disability.
All education agencies are now required under the Australian Education Regulation 2013 to provide information on a student’s
level of education, disability and level of adjustment to the Australian Government Department of Education and Training.* Data
will continue to be de-identified prior to its transfer to the Australian Government Department of Education
and Training. No student’s identity will be provided to the Australian Government Department of Education and Training.
The collection of this information from states and territories will inform future policy and program planning in relation to students
with disability.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Jan Rollinson on 52501233 or the Victorian Department of Educa-
tion and Training Data Collection Hotline on (03) 9651 3621. For questions after 7 August 2015, please call the Australian Gov-
ernment Department of Education and Training on 1300 566 046.
