Artzai Gazta`s product (Shepherd Cheese in Basque) is a cheese made from raw Latxa Sheep’s milk, that comes directly from the farm’s shepherd. Artzai Gazta has relationships and contacts with European producers and 30 years of experience backing the association’s technological/scientific knowledge. WITH THE ADVANTAGE OF A WORLDWIDE CHEESE COMPETITION, ARTZAI GAZTA WILL CREATE THE IDEAL SETTING TO STRENGTH DIRECT INTERNATIONAL TRADE RELATIONS; DIRECT INTERNATIONAL NETWORKING BETWEEN PRODUCERS, BUYERS, SELLERS, ARTISANS, REGULATORY BOARDS AND CERTIFICATION BODIES.

Various synergies have come together to organise a festival of its kind: An effort by Artzai Gazta Association with the support of Basque Country Government · Idiazabal PDO · Council of Gipuzkoa · Basque Culinary Center University · Donostia-San Sebastian 2016 Foundation.· Spanish Government & INLAC

Their main goal is to promote and strength productive vocations linked to

artisan cheese production, jointly boosting culture, gastronomy and tourism.

We will have the participation of Spanish producers with PDO cheeses, internationally renowned chefs as well as artisans, universities and companies in the cheese and gastronomy industry.

Activities that increase coexistence and promote the labour of artisan producers.

Spaces created to do business among different producers and buyers.

WORLD CHEESE AWARDS The most important worldwide cheese competition where 250 expert judges from all over the world will choose the best cheese among 2700 participants.
