EIGHT ASH GREEN NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN 1 Designation of the area covered by Eight Ash Green Neighbourhood Plan The area covered by the Eight Ash Green Neighbourhood Plan, was designated with Colchester Borough Council in May2015. This was done in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012. Associated with this document (pages 2 and 3) are the original letter from the Eight Ash Green and the map of the Parish boundary, which gives the area covered. This designation was accepted and published on the Colchester Borough Council website. It should be noted that the Parish Clerk has changed since that date and that all correspondence should be directed to the present EAG Parish Clerk.

RE: Eight Ash Green Neighbourhood Plan
Under Section 5 (1) of the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012, a Parish Council
must submit an application for designation of a neighbourhood area to their appropriate
Council.
The Chairman of my Parish Council has authorised me to send you this letter which forms
the application from Eight Ash Green Parish Council to Colchester Borough Council and I
therefore enclose the following information:-
a) A map of the area to which the application relates which, as you will see, represents
the area or boundary of the Parish of Eight Ash Green, marked in dark blue/black
b) This area is considered appropriate to be designated as a neighbourhood area as it is
the area administered by Eight Ash Green Parish Council and was agreed at a public
meeting of villagers resident in Eight Ash Green held on 22nd April 2015
c) The organisation making this application is a relevant body as it is a Parish Council
(as defined in section 61G of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990).
