Jn our Christian circles,we often develop frequently used buzzw ordswithout thinking through their meaning. The word'transformation' has become a buzzword w ithinspiritual circles. As is often the cas e, they becomethe "buzz", but people do n't agree on what theterm actually means. Transformation is definedas change, from onestate to another.Transformers inpublic utilities changethe electric current tolower voltage intransmission lines foruse in our homes.I The word transformation can also be used torefer to a change in one's appearance, as is theI case with the popular Transformer toys. The Bible speaks about transformation in two| ways . The word that is translated "transformation"is the Greek word that we know as metamorphosis (juerapop^ow) and is used a few times in theNew T estament. In one case, it refers to atransformed physical appearance, specifically whenJesus is "transfigured" (Mark 9:2). The other case iswhen Paul speaks of the transformation of our mind(Romans 12:2) and being transformed into theimage of C hrist (JJ Corinthians 3:18). This is goodnews for children. Children living with physicalbrokenness can look forward to the day that Godwill give them a new body. I think back to thechildren I met in Haiti who had been crippled bytheir parents so their begging could bring moreprofit. I think of m y time in a K azakhstanorphanage where children lived w ith birth defectscaused by Soviet nuclear testing and my timeamong the shanties of migrant work ers in Bajawith cholera sweeping through their shantytown.

These children can all experience the future transformation of their bo dies in eternity. The other good news begins now. Children canexperience the transformation of their thoughts, actionsand character. In fact, Paul writes that boys and girls cabe transformed into Christlikeness! " A n d w e , w h o w i thunveiled aces allreflect the Lord's glora re b e i n g transformedinto his l iken ess w ithever-increasingglory."II Corinthians 3:8a

Three primary aspects ofChristian transformation fochildren are:1) Unconditional Love - No matter what they havethought, said or done, boys and girls who confess theirmistakes to God an d ask for forgiveness will receive Hunconditional love .. .no tests, grades, quizzes or stringsattached.2} Hope, Peace, Joy - Jesus was full of hope, peace anjoy. Children who know Christ can live without despairand discouragement and hav e hope for a better future, peace that transcends circumstances and joy even amidtheir difficulties.3) Belonging - God has a family that boys and girlsbelong to! They are part of His family and can betransformed fro m their current life situation into Hisfamily of brothers, sisters and a loving father. This is the kind of transformation that embodies E veryGeneration Ministries. Thank you for joining us toTransform Children in Christ through His Church. #4BY DANIEL WATTS {PRESIDENT

ur hope and prayer forourselves and for you isthat you may experienceal l that God would havefor you. Over the pastseveral years, we have learnedthat how we handle money isoften one of the single greatestbarriers to experiencing God inall of His fullness.

A number of years ago,we were confronted wi th thespir i tual impl icat ions of what theBible has to say about handlingmoney. We learned thatstewardship meant God ownsall of our resources and we areservant managers entrusted byHim in using those resources for His purposes. We learned that i t 's not about a formula, butabou t hearing His voice and obe ying. Like many o f you , we have set aside reserves for arainy day. We have funded and continue to fund ret irement accounts and save for long-termgoals. You see, we thought we knew what these resources were for. During a series ofevents, God revealed to us a need wh ere i t was absolutely clear that e vi l was doing al l i tcould to stop His plan. As we came together and each independently heard God's voice, weknew whatever i t took (our inf luence with others, money, t ime and energy) we were beingcal led by Him to complete this Kingdom work. In the process, He showed us that we had notonly been accumulat ing these resources for ourselves, but for this projectas wel l . In the l imited space here, we cannot describe in detai l al l the even ts - Satanattacked and tr ied al l he could to distract us, but God was fai thful, protected us and Hispower saw us through to complet ion. Oh what a blessing to be squarely in His wil l .

God loves to reveal His story of redemption to al l who wi l l l isten. By transforming the waychi ldren are presented the story of rede mp tion, EGM is ful f i l ling God's purposes and we havethe privi lege to partner in that work. I f you are reading this story, we trust you too arehearing God's voice as you prayerful ly sup port the wo rk of EGM. May He bless you as He hasblessed us! May you have the incredible privi lege to experience God in al l of His ful lness!"^
