Aim and Need of the study
• To Find the Effectiveness of Low Level Laser Therapy(LLLT) in Reducing Pain on Corn Foot.
• The Result of this study will enlighten and help Physiotherapists in handling patients with Corn Foot.
Criteria
Inclusion:
• Both genders• Any age• Patients with seed corn
foot (less than one year duration)
• Patients with less than 10 corns in a foot
Exclusion:
• Any associated orthopedic and Neurological problems
• Open wound / Ulceration on the foot
• Burning sensation in the foot .
The pre-test scores of pain were measured using Visual Analogue Scale(VAS).
• Patients were positioned in long sitting.• Dosage of Low Level Laser Therapy, was
delivered in a Continuous Mode
Red probe – 10 minutes (apporx.)
Infra red probe – 10 minutes(apporx.)
Once a day up to 7 days.
The post-test scores were collected at the end of 7th days.
The data were subjected to paired ‘t’ test.
values “t” cal value “t” table value
Pain 7.862 2.262
t cal > t table value significant at 5 % level
The result of the study is Low Level
Laser Therapy(LLLT) is significantly
effective in reducing pain on corn foot.
Cell membrane change
Increased endorphin
No production
Decreased broadkinin level
Ca,na,k Ion changes
C-fiber deploar block
Increased action potential
Increased acetylcholine
LOW LEVEL LASER THERAPY
PAIN REDUCTION
The result of the study make us to
conclude that Low Level Laser Therapy
(LLLT) is an effective treatment method
for reducing the pain on corn foot
