Using Data Analysis… For Business Decisions

The understanding of any enterprise and the basis for many decisions revolves around the basic understanding of the data involved. The acquisition, analysis, aggregation, presentation and interpretation of data is crucial to the effective and efficient running of the enterprise. Whether the purpose is operational performance, enterprise performance, financial analysis, competitive analysis, strategic direction setting or data for outside decision making of partners and customers the delivery of that data links the success of the business with the management. Understanding the basis and impact of decisions is crucial to improving enterprise performance

Linking business performance measures with technology is critical to the success of any data analysis approach and the ability to deliver results. The concepts of data analysis demand a competent technological infrastructure for enablement. Demonstrations of various tools used for data analysis are demonstrated to emphasise the techniques in the lectures.

Dear Business Executive,You have endless streams of data and many ways to analyse them. You also have strategic decisions to make that require knowledge about the company’s current and past condition. This information is often difficult to pinpoint and quantify.

You’ll be able to link the data you already have with the information you need to make these decisions after walking away from IIR’s Effective Data Analysis For Strategic Decision Making course this July in Dubai, UAE.

Whether analysing market share, Return On Investment (ROI), quality of production or service, as well as sales performance, you will develop insight into not just preparing numbers, but how to interpret them for best performance.

You will also gain a basic grounding in the types of data analysis that are now a part of everyone’s job. Basic statistical concepts provide the platform for many different solutions to data analysis and interpretation problems. Typical problems today involve understanding measurement and performance in all aspects of the organisation and at several levels.

This year, you will have the option of registering for only one of two segments in this course if you prefer. Over the first three days, you will receive practical data analysis tools in Data Analysis For Effective Business Decisions.

Next, over two days, you will be able to connect this data analysis more effectively to strategic decisions in your organisation at Applied Data Analysis For Decision Making. Naturally, registering for the entire five-day event will provide you with a well-rounded, holistic toolset to bring back with you.

Delivered through numerous exercises on each day, you will leave IIR’s Effective Data Analysis For Strategic Decision Making with positive and tangible benefits for both you and your organisation.

I look forward to welcoming you to this extremely valuable course in July 2009.

Yours sincerely

Keith ParkerConference Manager

Part II Applied Data Analysis For

Decision Making 15 – 16 July 2009

Incontestably the jewel in the Gulf’s crown, Dubai offers you a

veritable feast of delights, catering to the most discerning tastes

and stimulating the senses at every turn.

The city’s architecturally acclaimed ultra modern skyline

provides a striking backdrop to a city that’s a melting pot of

races and religions; an eclectic mix of cultures and cuisines, from

sizzling souk-side snacks, to sumptuous seven star dining.

The old and the new are synonymous in this scintillating city,

where the vibrancy of uber-modern malls sits seamlessly with

timeless tradition. From chic to creek, step back in time as you

soak up the hustle and bustle of crucial trade-route waterways

and sample the seductive sights and smells of the spice markets.

Dubai’s rich historic tapestry is evident across the Emirate,

providing tantalising glimpses of an ornate past. Venture to

the desert and let the shifting sands set the scene for bygone

Bedouin life, where sheesha smoking under the stars provides the

perfect antidote to the activity of the city.

“The course was very helpful in understanding basic methods and

presentation techniques of data analysis.”

Ranjit Mukherjee, Manager – Analytics Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, UAE
