ABOUT THIS COURSE

This underlying premise of this training course is to ignite the flame of lifelong learning through problem solving, logical and simplified thinking and to equip the learner with practical tools that can be used across organisational functions.

This two-day training course investigates the WHAT, WHY, WHERE, WHEN, WHO (5 W’s) & the HOW (H) of effective and efficient risk management. The course explores the fundamentals of risk management and it supplies the learners with PRACTICAL tools and techniques to improve the implementation of risk management.

Dr Hermie le Roux has developed an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) implementation model and -assessment tool for her PhD thesis. She has 28 years’ experience in the design, development and implementation of ERM frameworks and processes across 5 countries in 9 industries and 39 companies. She is passionate about simple and practical risk management that enables better decision making and that adds value to organisations.

The keys to successful ERM implementation are simplicity and applied logic. The focus of this course is to equip the delegate with practical tools and techniques for the following, i.e.

Day 1 - WHAT, WHY, WHERE, WHEN & HOW:

• Risk Management Best Practice & ERM Program Implementation Plan (WHAT)• Risk Stakeholders – Who are they? What do they have to do? Competencies? How? (Includes a

practical exercise & discussion) (WHO)• Risk Management Process – Practical tools and techniques for each step in the process (WHAT,

WHERE, WHY, WHEN & HOW)

Day 2 – WHO, WHAT & HOW:

• WHO: Risk Owner / Risk Champion / Risk Facilitator – Definition, Roles & Responsibilities, Skills & Competencies, etc. (includes a practical exercise & discussion) (WHO)

• Main Tasks – Communication, Coordination & Facilitation (WHAT & HOW)o Task 1: Communication (includes a practical exercise & discussion)o Task 2: Coordination (includes a practical exercise & discussion)o Task 3: Facilitation (includes a practical exercise & discussion)

Please review the Terms and Conditions carefully before booking. Delegates should review the content and levels of the course they are registering for to ensure suitability and that they are registering for the correct course.

Payment:

IRMSA must receive payment or an approved and signed Purchase Order prior to the training.

Full payment must be received two weeks prior to the course. Proof of payment must be emailed to [email protected].

Cancellation:

Should a delegate wish to cancel, this must be done in writing to [email protected] no later than 7 working days prior to the training course. A R1 190.00 Exclude VAT cancellation fee will apply.

• Delegates who cancel their registration inwriting after 7 working days will be personallyliable for the full fee.

• Substitutions may be made at no additional cost.• Delegates will be personally liable for the

payment of the full registration fee in the eventof non-attendance or failure to cancel in writingprior to the deadline of 7 working days.

Dietary requirements received 3 days prior to the commencement of training can be accommodated.
