For programmes whichrequire students to have possessed a good command of Chinese includingBEd(Chinese Language), BEd(Chinese History) and BA in Language Studies(Chinese major), waiver of the DSE Chinese Language requirement will not begranted.

(5) Mathematics Extended Part (i.e. Module 1 (M1) / Module 2 (M2)) will be countedas an elective subject for the purpose of meeting the general entrancerequirements with effect from 2020/21, but cannot be used as a substitute for theMathematics Compulsory Part. In case applicants have taken both M1 and M2, onlythe module with best result will be taken into consideration.

Short DescriptionShort Description The 5-year Full-time Co-terminal Double Degree programme aims to prepareprofessional Music teachers and community-based artists who possess subjectknowledge and demonstrate competency in both education and various forms ofarts. Upon completion of the programme, students will be awarded two degrees,namely a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Creative Arts and Culture [BA(CAC)]degree and a Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Music) [BEd(MU)] degree.Graduates will process Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Hong Kong, and theability to work competently in a broad range of positions such as curators for artmuseums and galleries, administrators of arts organizations, researchers in culturalstudies and musicians, and art educators.

*Applicants who do not take HKDSE Music or obtain Level 3 or below in HKDSEMusic are required to participate in the audition. On the other hand, applicants whoobtain Level 4 or above in HKDSE Music will be exempted from the audition.

Preferred subject with the highest weighting for admission score calculation isMusic. However, applicants not taking Music in the HKDSE examination will alsobe considered.
