With more than 60 classes taking placeeach week, Eden Court provides one ofthe largest arts education programmesof any UK theatre. All day, every day, all through Eden Court and right acrossthe Highlands - there’s something goingon for you.

There are activities for babies and toddlers -

for people who want to learn to act or sing,

Eden Court operates the largest and most

extensive Arts Education and Outreach

programme of any UK theatre. Our Arts

Education Team live within their communities

across the Highlands, delivering a year-round

programme of drama and dance workshops in a

range of locations — not just schools!

Over 60 classes take place every week at Eden

Court in all art forms for all ages. More than 2000

people take part in our classes each month.

Eden Court is the only Scottish theatre to offer

Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) courses in

Drama and Dance. These courses provide pupils

from across the Highlands with the opportunity to

study for an SQA Higher Dance, Drama or

Intermediate 2 exams.

Eden Court has been delivering London Academy of

Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) Examination

classes in the Highlands for many years. They run

weekly as an extracurricular activity, as well as in and

out of school through our Outreach workers. Eden

Court’s drama and dance education has helped

young people across the Highland region to develop

confidence, social skills and fitness.

TICKETS AND INFORMATIONOur Box Office is located in the theatre foyer and is open eachday from 10.00 until 21.00. Staff will be pleased to help youand can offer assistance and information on everything goingon in and around Eden Court.

To make it easier to book, we have given each class or event anumber. Make sure you book the ticket you want for the classyou want by giving our staff the number when booking.

RESERVATIONSTickets can be reserved in person or over the phone inadvance for any class at Eden Court. We will hold reservedtickets for three working days. Any reservations not paid for infull within three working days will be released for sale. Pleasenote reservations are not available the week before a class isdue to begin.

FRIENDS DISCOUNTFriends of Eden Court receive a discount off regular classes(£1.00 for adults and 50p for children).

REFUNDS AND EXCHANGESIf you try the first class of a course and find it unsuitable, pleasecontact our Box Office WITHIN 2 WEEKS. We can transfer youto a different course (subject to availability) or offer you a creditvoucher for the cost of the remaining classes. Please noterefunds are not given for missed classes and will only be issuedif a class has been cancelled by Eden Court.

Baby YogaBirthlight Baby Yoga classes are based on fun movements, rhythm and songs,

64 PROSTHETICS DEMOHollywood special effects artists Tom and Siobhan Lauten have over 30 years

experience in the film industry. Their credits include Chronicles of Narnia, King

Kong, and A Nightmare on Elm Street. This informal gathering will offer a rare

insight into special effects make up and the materials and techniques used to give

life to films most memorable characters and creatures. It will include demonstrations

of prosthetic make up application with ample opportunity to ask plenty of questions

about this unique art form.

Drama CPDOur Drama CPD consists of 3 x 2 hour sessions for up to 16

staff. It will be delivered by an Eden Court Arts Education worker

in your area and costs £120.00 for the whole course. The course

fees are half price for small schools (under 50 pupils, two

teachers).

Dance CPDIn addition to the Drama CPD, we also offer Dance CPD at Eden

Court Theatre. This course is 2 days long, and is for up to 16

staff. It costs £10.00 per session, per participant. The course is

delivered by Eden Court’s Dance Artist, Louise Marshall and is

offered on Wed 16 Feb 2011 (Primary Teachers) and Thu 17 Feb

2011 (Secondary Teachers).

Nursery CPDWe can also now offer a brand-new CPD package for anyone

who works with Early Years children. Our ‘Literacy Through

Drama for Early Years’ CPD is taught by Eden Court Arts

Education Worker, Islay MacRae at Eden Court and is offered on

Wed 30 Mar 2011. This course is free to participants.

Eden Court is just a short walk from Inverness city centre. We have a

number of bike racks available.

Limited car parking is available at the theatre. Exit from the car park

is controlled by bar code. Bar codes are issued with all purchases.

For public transport information, please contact your local bus operator.

There is public ‘Pay & Display’ parking at Inverness Cathedral.

Eden Court provides so many great opportunities

for studying theatre, dance and filmmaking in the

Highlands. I did a lot of my initial training with them

including my Higher Drama and completing my

LAMDA certification. Their tutors were always there

to support me. I had my first real experience of

acting with Eden Court and it was their knowledge

and experience that encouraged me to take the next

step and pursue a career in the arts.

Eden Court’s Art Education Department is a great

resource for everyone in the Highlands both young

and old. If you haven’t tried yet, start participating
