Community Engagement:
• “A genuine public voice emerges when three conditions have been met. First a diverse body of citizens has to talk, preferably face-to-face. Second, the framework for the conversations has to present all the major options for action fairly, each with both its advantages and disadvantages disclosed. Finally, people have to weigh the costs and benefits of each option until they get a sense of what the community will and won’t do to address the problem.”
– - David Mathews (Reclaiming Public Education by Reclaiming our Democracy)
