What we did: Onica worked closely with Humber College at an accelerated pace to successfully implement an Amazon AppStream 2.0 solution to deploy Windows-based applications on AWS. The application environment was deployed in just 10 business days and the first wave of 83 applications were migrated very quickly after. The Outcome: As a result of Onica’s efforts, not only can Humber maintain their business model in a halted global environment, they are no longer limited to manually provisioning and maintaining a fixed number of desktop systems on campus at costly capital expense. Humber College’s students are able to access their applications on any device from any location as long as they have good internet access, minimizing educational disruption.
