Transcript of Education: Innovations and Technology
Once children are old enough to
hold a pencil, they are bombarded
with questions of what they want
to be when they grow up. From
grade one to grade twelve,
students are told to figure out who
they want to be.
Asking our students to plan for
the future isn’t the issue. The
issue is that we are asking them
to plan based on TODAY, not the
FUTURE. Technology has
drastically changed in the last ten
years and continues to grow at a
rapid pace.
This notion gave me an idea. Would
the people who have completed their
schooling and are currently in their
career change what they had done,
based on what they know today?
I asked friends, family members and
strangers to take two pictures. One
with a caption stating their current
job and a second picture with the
caption “knowing what I know today I
would be. . .”
