I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed shaytaan.

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

All the praises and thanks belong to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin

(mankind, jinns and all that exists), and the prayer and peace beupon the leader of the messengers, upon his family, and his

    companions.

To proceed: This is a beneficial treaty in terms of what is obligatory

upon the people to teach the children before teaching them the

Quraan, such that he becomes a complete Muslim upon the natural

disposition of Islam, and a good follower of Tawheed upon the pathof Emaan.

And I have organized it by way of question and answer.

    Q 1:

If it is said to you: Who is your Rabb?

    A 1:

    Say: My Rabb is Allah

    Q 2:

And what is the meaning of “the Rabb”?

    A 2:

Say: The King, the One deserves to be worshipped,

and the meaning of Allah:  the owner of worship over all Hiscreation.

    Q 3:

If it is said to you: How did you come to know

    your Rabb?

    A 3:

Say: I came to know Him by His signs and creations. And from His signs: The night and the day and the sun and the

moon. And from His creations: The skies and the earth, and what

    is between them.

And the evidence on that is His saying, the Most High: “Indeed your

Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in Six Days, and then He Istawa (rose over) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). He

brings the night as a cover over the day, seeking it rapidly, and (He created)

the sun, the moon, the stars subjected to His Command. Surely, His is the

Creation and Commandment. Blessed be Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin

(mankind, jinns and all that exists)!” (Al-A'raf 7:54).

    Q 4:

If it is said to you: Why were you created?

    A 4:

Say: To worship Him alone, He has no partners, and

to obey Him by doing what He ordered and leaving what He

forbade. As Allah, the Most High, said: “And I (Allah) created not the

jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone)” (Adh-Dhariyat51:56).

And as He, the Most High, said: “Worship Allah and join none with

Him in worship” (An-Nisa 4:36).  And the Shirk is the greatest sin

    through which Allah is disobeyed.

      5

And as He, the Most High, said: “Verily, whosoever sets up partners in

worship with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire

will be his abode. And for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers) there

    are no helpers” (Al-Ma'idah 5:72).

And the Shirk: is to set up a partner with Allah while supplicating

to him (the one being worshipped beside Allah), to hope in him, to

fear him, to rely on him, to desire from him beside Allah, and other

than that from the types of worships.

For the worship:  is a comprehensive noun for everything that Allah loves and is pleased with from the sayings and actions both

    hidden and apparent.

And from it: is the supplication, and He, the Most High, said: “And

the mosques are for Allah (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allah”

    (Al-Jinn 72:18).

And the evidence for that supplicating to other than Allah is

disbelief, is as He, the Most High, said: “And whoever invokes (or

worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof, then

his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kafirun (the disbelievers in

Allah and in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will

    not be successful” (Al-Mu'minun 23:117).

And that is because the supplication is one of the best kind of

worships, as He, the Most High, said: “And your Lord said: ‘Invoke Me,

[i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism)] (and ask Me for

anything) I will respond to your (invocation). Verily! Those who scorn My

      6

worship [i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not believe in My Oneness, (Islamic

Monotheism)] they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!’” (Ghafir 40:60).

And in the Sunnah: From Ans radi Allahu anhu (raised to the Prophet

sallallahu alayhe wa sallam): “The supplication is the essence of the worship”[Related by At-Tirmidhi 3371, graded weak by Shaykh Albanee in “Daeef

Al-Jame3a” 3003], and the wording that sufficed from it is, “The

supplication is the worship” [Related by Imam Ahmed, 18368, and

authenticated by Imam Albanee in “Sahih Al-Jame3a” 3407], and it is the

best as evidence for the purpose.

And the first thing that Allah made obligatory upon His slaves: isthe disbelief in all that is worshipped beside Allah (Taagoot), and

belief in Allah, as He, the Most High, says: “And verily, We have sent

among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming):

‘Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taagoot (all false

deities, etc. i.e. do not worship Taagoot besides Allah)’” (An-Nahl 16:36).

And the Taagoot:  is what is worshipped beside Allah, or theshaytaan, soothsayer, and astrologer, and whoever rules by other

than what Allah sent down, and everyone who is being followed

    and obeyed upon falsehood.

And the Imam Ibnul Qayyem may Allah, the Most High, have mercy

upon him, said: “The Taagoot:  is whatever by which the worshipper

exceeds in his limitation in terms of being worshipped, followed, or obeyed”(I3lam al-Mooqe3een 5/1).

    Q 5:

If it is said to you: What is your religion?

    A 5:

    Say: My religion is Islam.

And the meaning of Islam:  is to submit to Allah with Tawheed

(Singling Allah with Worship, Lordship, and Names and

Attributes), and submitting to Him with obedience, and having

loyalty to the Muslims, and enmity to the Disbelievers.

He, the Most High, said: “Indeed, the religion with Allah is Islam” (Aali-

     Imran 3:19).

And He said: “And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never

be accepted from him” (Aali-Imran 3:85).

And it is authentically reported from the Prophet  sallallahu alayhe wa

sallam that he said: “Islam is that you bear witness that none has the right

to be worshipped except Allah, and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and you establish prayer, give obligatory charity, fast the month of

Ramadan, and perform the pilgrimage to the House of Allah if you are able to

do” [Reported by Al-Bukhari, 4777, and Muslim, 106].

And the meaning of “Laa ilaha illaAllah”: is None has the right

to be worshipped except Allah, as He, the Most High, said: “And

(remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said to his father and his people:‘Verily, I am innocent of what you worship. Except Him (i.e. I worship none

but Allah Alone) Who did create me, and verily, He will guide me. And he

made it [i.e. La ilaha ill-Allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah

Alone)] a Word lasting among his offspring (True Monotheism), that they

      8

may turn back (i.e. to repent to Allah or receive admonition)’” (Az-Zukhruf

    43:26-28).

And the evidence on the prayer and the obligatory charity: is His,

the Most High, saying: “And they were commanded not, but that they should worship Allah, and worship none but Him Alone (abstaining from

ascribing partners to Him), and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and

give Zakat: and that is the right religion” (Al-Baiyinah 98:5).  And in this

verse, He started with Tawheed and dissociation from the Shirk.

And the greatest matter that He ordered with is the Tawheed, and

the greatest matter that He forbade is the Shirk, and He ordered to

establish the prayer and to give the obligatory charity. And this ismost of the religion, and what is after from the legislation follows

    it.

And the evidence on the obligation of fasting: is His, the Most

High, saying: “O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is

prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may

become Al-Muttaqun (the pious). [Observing Saum (fasts)] for a fixednumber of days, but if any of you is ill or on a journey, the same number

(should be made up) from other days. And as for those who can fast with

difficulty, (e.g. an old man, etc.), they have (a choice either to fast or) to feed

a Miskin (poor person) (for every day). But whoever does good of his own

accord, it is better for him. And that you fast, it is better for you if only you

know. The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance

for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (betweenright and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of)

the month (of Ramadan i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Saum

    (fasts) that month” (Al-Baqarah 2:183-185).

And the evidence on the obligation of Hajj: is His, the Most High,

saying: “And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Ka'bah) is a duty

that mankind owes to Allah” (Aali Imran 3:97).

And the principles of Emaan are six:  that you believe in Allah,His angels, His Books, His Messengers, and the Last Day, and in

the pre-destination, its good and its bad.

And its evidence is what is in the “Sahih” from the hadith of Umar

    ibnul Khattab…. Al-Hadith. [Sahih Al-Bukhari & Muslim]

    Q 6:

And if it is said to you: Who is your Prophet?

    A 6:

Say: Our Prophet is Muhammad bin Abdullah bin

     Abdul-Muttalib bin Haashem bin Abdul-Manaf.

And Allah, the Most High, choose him from Quraish, and they arechosen from the son of Ismail alayhe assalam, and He sent him to

the red and black people, and revealed upon him the Book and the

Wisdom (Sunnah), and he called the people to make the worship

sincerely for Allah, and to leave what they used to worship beside

Allah from: Idols, stones, trees, prophets, righteous people, angels,

    and other than them.

So, he called people to leave the Shirk, and he fought them to leave

it, and so that they would be purified for the worship of Allah. As

Allah, the Most High, said: “Say (O Muhammad): ‘I invoke only my Lord

(Allah Alone), and I associate none as partners along with Him’ (Al-Jinn

    72:20).

are those who will have iron chains tying their hands to their necks. They will

be dwellers of the Fire to abide therein” (Ar-Ra'd 13:5).

And in the verse, there is evidence that whoever denies the

resurrection, committed disbelief that obligates the entering in theHellfire. We seek refuge with Allah from disbelief and actions of

    disbelief.

So, these verses gathered an explanation as to what the prophet

sallallahu alayhe wa sallam has been sent with from the sincerity

of worship for Allah, and the prohibition of worshipping other than

Allah, and the restriction of worship to Allah, and this is hisreligion which he called the people to, and struggled with them for

it, as He, the Most High, said: “And fight them until there is no more

Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and

the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world].

But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allah), then certainly, Allah is

All-Seer of what they do” (Al-Anfal 8:39).  And the fitnah: is the Shirk.

And Allah, the Most High, sent him at the head of 40 years of age,

and he called people to the sincerity (of worship of Allah) and

leaving of worship of whatever else beside Allah for 10 years, then

he has been ascended to the Sky, and the five daily prayers were

made obligatory upon him without there being an interdictory

between him and Allah, the Most High, in that. After that, he has

been ordered with migration, so they migrated to Madinah, andthen he has been ordered with the fighting in the way of Allah, so,

he fought in the way of Allah rightfully for about 10 years until

people entered the religion of Allah in large number.

So, when he completed 63 years of age, and Allah, the Most High,

perfected the religion, and he conveyed the message from the news

of Allah, the Most High, for him as to what is with Him, and

thereafter he passed away, may the prayers of Allah and His peace

    be upon him.

And the first of the messengers is Nuh alayhis salam, and the last of

them is Muhammad may Allah sent His prayers upon him and his family

    and peace.

As Allah, the Most High, said: “Verily, We have inspired you (O

Muhammad) as We inspired Nuh (Noah) and the Prophets after him” (An- Nisa 4:163).

And He, the Most High, said: “Muhammad is no more than a

Messenger” (Aali Imran 3:144) and “Muhammad is not the father of any

man among you, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the last (end) of the

Prophets. And Allah is Ever All Aware of everything” (Al-Ahzab 33:40).

And the best of the messengers is our prophet  sallallahu alayhe wa

sallam, and the best of people  after the prophet s sallallahu alayhim

assallam are: Abu Bakr radi Allahu anhu, then Omar radi Allahu anhu,

then Uthman radi Allahu anhu, then Ali radi Allahu anhu, and may

Allah be pleased with them all.

And the best of generations is my generation, then those whofollow them, then those who follow them. [Reported by Al-Bukhari,

2652, and Muslim 6635, with wording: “The best of people”.]
