“One thing that I’ve noticed is that even a small amount of face-to-face feedback is appreciated by the student, especially if it’s directed to the student’s specific goals. At the start of the course I ask all my students to set their goals for the course using the assessment tool in the learning platform. I can then refer to these goals when I give feedback, explaining what they need to do to improve in order to get the grade they want. Even if I only speak to the student for two minutes, they still feel they’ve got a lot, which makes it easy for me to give valuable feedback often.”
