Create a newspaper page you may have seen as someone living during the Revolutionary War. This must be done as if it were a real newspaper. You are the journalist and must answer the who, what, when, where and why of each article you create. You must give your newspaper a name and have articles along with pictures. I would like at least three articles dealing with events that happened during the Revolutionary War. Some ideas could be problems America had with England such as: The Sugar Act, the Stamp Act, the Townshend Acts, the Tea Act, the Quartering Act, or the Intolerable Acts. You may also describe how the Americans dealt with these issues. Some examples would be: the Boston Massacre, the Boston Tea Party, the First Continental Congress, or Paul Revere's Ride. You may also discuss the Declaration of Independence and which founding fathers were the main contributors. Another topic would be to discuss any of the major battles of the war, who were the leaders on each side, and who won/lost the battle. You may choose a group or an individual that played a key role during the American Revolution that may not have received the attention they deserved, such as: women, African Americans or Native Americans. You may also discuss the end of the war, which includes the British surrender, the Treaty of Paris and the founding of our nation. These are just a few ideas, but remember you are not limited to these .Anything that happened during the Revolutionary War is fair game.
