This is where you will save ALL your work.
You can only access it through the computer labs on campus.
SchoolsNet, SINA & My Internet
Schoolsnet is the software developer and provider.
SINA is an acronym for Schoolsnet Internet Network Administrator.
SINA is the software administrators use to set up the ‘MyInternet’ pages their staff and students use.
Schoolsnet has an agreement with the Catholic Education Office.
SINA is available to all Catholic Schools in Victoria.
In 2002 there were 475 active primary school SINA accounts in Victoria.
• Most Catholic secondary schools use SINA (all but 20).

Virtual Learning Groups
Your Virtual Learning Group is generally made up of 12-15 students
They will act as your support group throughout the semester.
Regular contact with the group is essential.

Weekly Tasks
Each week, for 8 weeks you will complete an online module of work. (A Virtual Lab.)
This began this week (Lecture Week 2).
At the end of each week you will complete a checklist in the form of a survey or email.

Place your username as asked
Answer each question.
Be honest. If you can’t do the task ask for help in a separate email to your lecturer.

Electronic Communication
Expectation: You communicate Electronically with the members of your Virtual Learning group at least 3 times a week.
Electronic discussion topics focus mainly on electronic articles and websites.
Send all email through SINA. Emails will only register when sent to the group through your SINA Email account.
