The United Association’s of Veterans In Piping (VIP) Apprenticeship - 18-week vocational training course in high pressure pipe welding ap-prenticeships for plumbers, fitters, welders, and service technicians to install sprinkler, heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Shifting Gears - Automotive Technician Apprenticeship - 12-week vocational training course sponsored by GM and Raytheon to obtain the GM Bronze, Silver, and Gold certifications to include the ASE Certification. Completion of training employment opportunities are available. Caliber Collision - 18-weeks vocational training course in automotive body repair and painting. Training involves hands-on and classroom training with the state-of-the art equipment and methods to accomplish automotive repair, estimates, and painting. Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Police Academy Program - 19-week police academy with support from Central Texas College to train and certify police officers for the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. DFW Airport is the third-busiest airport in the world with seven runways. Troops in Transportation - 5-week nationally recognized vocational commercial driving training and placement course to license Commercial Driver License (CDL) drivers. Warrior Training Advancement Course (WARTAC) - 10-week, skill-bridge education and employment opportunity for transitioning service members to complete a national-level Veterans Benefits Administrations (VBA) training program for becoming VA Service Representatives. Rater-Veteran Service Representative Course (RVSR) - 12-week, which will determine disability ratings for exiting service members. Must have Master’s Degree to enter the Federal employment system, the position will range at the following levels; GS-09, GS-10, GS-11, GS-12. City of Austin Veterans Internship Program - Up to 22-week internship program working for the City of Austin, Texas. Internships vary by city departments and demands. Careers can vary from accounting, administrative, transportation, logistics, engineering, and IT Technology. U.S. Chamber Commerce Foundation’s ‘Corporate Fellowship Program’ - 12-week, on-duty, employment skills program for leaders and spouses within six months of transitioning out of the military. Candidates must first apply and be interviewed by participating companies. Candidates are placed in mid to senior level professional positions with host companies Monday through Wednesday. Quarterly Pre-Retirement Orientation: For retiring soldiers including medical retirements. Spouses are encouraged to attend. The Retirement Services Office provides counseling and assistance to active soldiers, retirees, widows, widower, survi-vors and family members concerning retired pay, TriCare, Den-tal, VGLI, entitlements, and benefits.
