Local Economy

Boeing Expansion• Boeing Co. started construction on a $80 million facility expansion in Oklahoma City• The city will become the headquarters of its Aircraft Modernization and Sustainment division• The move will bring 800 to 900 new jobs• The company is qualified to receive $43.8 million in tax incentives to create 459 high-skill jobs in OKC• Oklahoma has made recent efforts to expand the growing aerospace industry• The facility is located near SE 59 and Air Depot, creating a third building on the existing campus• The expansion will have an estimated impact of $637.7 million on the city in the next four years
