Editorial 2000 has been a great year for Clinical and Experimental Dermatology . The number of manuscripts submitted to the journal continues to climb and our turnaround time, from submission to editorial response to corre- sponding author, is steadily decreasing. In large part, this is due to the enormous help we receive from our national and international reviewers, but also to the work of Rebecca Geldard our editorial manager. We hope our efficiency will improve over the next year with the appointment of a further co-editor, Nigel Burrows. In addition, 2000 saw us publish all issues on schedule and more pages than ever before. With H&G Zeitschrift fu ¨r Hautkrankheiten we have introduced two themed clinical review issues published simultaneously in English and German, thus reaching out to more dermatologists. We hope to continue this initiative for the foreseeable future. As you can see in this issue, an innovation for 2001 is the introduction of a continuing professional develop- ment section (CPD) edited by Meg Price, the chairman of the British Association of Dermatologists’ CPD commit- tee. We hope you find it useful and enjoyable. Please let us know. Other changes are planned for this year and we will keep you informed. 2000 has been a great year for Clinical and Experimental

Dermatology. The number of manuscripts submitted to

the journal continues to climb and our turnaround

time, from submission to editorial response to corre-

sponding author, is steadily decreasing. In large part,

this is due to the enormous help we receive from our

national and international reviewers, but also to the

work of Rebecca Geldard our editorial manager. We

hope our efficiency will improve over the next year with

the appointment of a further co-editor, Nigel Burrows.

In addition, 2000 saw us publish all issues on

schedule and more pages than ever before. With H&G

Zeitschrift fuÈ r Hautkrankheiten we have introduced two

themed clinical review issues published simultaneously

in English and German, thus reaching out to more

dermatologists. We hope to continue this initiative for

the foreseeable future.

As you can see in this issue, an innovation for 2001 is

the introduction of a continuing professional develop-

ment section (CPD) edited by Meg Price, the chairman of

the British Association of Dermatologists' CPD commit-

tee. We hope you find it useful and enjoyable. Please let

us know. Other changes are planned for this year and

we will keep you informed.

Finally, a Happy New Year for 2001 to all our readers,

contributors and reviewers.
