Dear readers,Everything new, such as the new issue of

the EPMagazinewe have in our hands, atthe moment of its creation is accompaniedby conflicting feelings. The satisfaction at theachievement of onemore target and the

hopes and visionsfor its future comein contrast with theanxiety about thequality of theventure and the fearof the projectsf u t u r e i t s e l f .However, the EPMissues publication

every time gives thechance to pauseand reflect uponwhat precedes anybirth, the deliveryitself. And this delivery looked difficult.Teachers and students from differentcountries, educational systems and differentcultural backgroundsa n d , a s a

c o n s e q u e n c e ,d i f f e r e n tpersonalities andidentities, had tocooperate.

in theirs. Gettingover biases andfeeling the otherslikeus. Unlucky are theones who haventhad the experienceyet! This contact isthe gain of theventure. This contactleads to the painfuldelivery every time!

Tutto ci che c di nuovo, come lultimonumero di EPMche teniamo tra le mani, almomento della sua creazione accompagna-to da sentimenti conflittuali. La soddisfazionedi aver raggiunto uno o pi obiettivi e le spe-ranze e previsioni per il futuro vengono inconflitto con lansia circa la qualit dellopera.

Tuttavia, la pubbli-cazione di EPM dla possibilit di fer-marsi e riflettere suci che precede o-gni nascita.

Realizzare que-sto progetto sem-brava difficile: do-centi e studenti di

differenti Paesi, si-stemi educativi ebagagli culturalidiversi e, di conse-guenza, personalite identit diversedovevano collabo-rare. Abbiamo do-vuto liberarci dipreconcetti e opinioni, conoscerci gli uni con

gli altri, capire la mentalit altrui, accorgercidel valore e delle attitudini di ciascuno, cali-brare ritmo e tempi; navigare mari e attra-versare terre, in modo da fare scambi, coo-perare e comprendere che ci che ci unisce molto di pi di ci che ci tiene separati.

Questa la pi grande lezione, ci che cid forza e ci induce ad andare avanti! Al di ldi espressioni altisonanti come integrazioneeuropea, societ della conoscenza, societdellinformazione, sviluppo dello spirito criti-co, lavoro in reteetc., ci siamo noi, la gente!La gente che ha lavorato insieme inAustria,Polonia, Olanda, Bulgaria, Italia, Tur-

chia, Grecia, a Kramsach, Sosnowiec,Landgraaf, Sofia, Catania, Kayseri,Thessaloniki! Limpegno stato gravoso,tanto che alcuni partner hanno resistito e al-tri no. Ma comunque abbiamo stretto amici-zia e intrecciato rapporti pi o meno intimi:come succede nella vita! Abbiamo offerto o-spitalit nelle nostre case e ricevuto ospitalitin quelle altrui, liberandoci dei pregiudizi esentendo gli altricome noi. Sfortunatamentequalcuno non ha

ancora fatto questaesperienza, che co-stituisce il vero gua-dagno che si puricavare dal nostrolavoro. Bisogna sot-tolineare che tutto nelle mani degli stu-denti. La pi grandelezione di EPMnon

consiste nel fare u-na storia dellascienza accessibilee/o nel fatto che glistudenti si esprimo-no con un linguag-gio scientifico, scrivendo articoli pertinenti altema della rivista. La pi grande lezione che essi toccano una parte della loro vitapresente e futura: la preparazione di un di-

scorso, la cooperazione, la formazione diunidentit individuale. Tutto ci, allinternodi un sistema di apprendimento aperto, di unambiente comunicativo e attivo, che rifuggelisolamento, in cui nessuno si compiace di snella sicurezza di ci che asserisce; un am-biente che induce invece a far sentire vicinimondi distanti, stimola la conoscenza, il gio-co e la collaborazione con gli altri, dove gliocchi saranno aperti e i cuori non sarannopassivi, ma pieni di passione creativa!

Questo il motivo per cui dobbiamo starequi! Questo il motivo per cui dobbiamo

partecipare numerosi!
