California Rare Fruit Growers October 2019 North San Diego County Chapter Edibles with Dennis Sharmahd Friday October11, 7:00 PM Lifeline Center, 200 Michigan Ave Vista, CA Dennis Sharmahd serves as HIP Ag's lead botanical advisor. Dennis’s specialties include being an Edible Landscaper, Herbalist, Mycologist and ethnobotanist specializing in subtropical plants. He is the founder of Southern Sun Seeds and has been teaching about wild edible & medicinal plants for almost 30 years. Dennis grew up with rare fruits and an edible landscaped garden in Lemon Grove. He is one of the founding fathers of the SDMS. He has been traveling in the American South West, Mexico and Brazil hunting for rare fruits, herbs, mushrooms and vegetables. He has also been collecting and growing rare cactus and other fruits at his small farm north of Escondido for over 30 years. He was one of the growers at Golden Gourmet Mushroom Farm and currently works with Mountain Meadows. He teaches in the area about wild edible and medicinal plans and mushrooms. His topic this month will be one of his favorites
