APPRENTICE PROGRAMME OUTPUTS Industry Recognised Apprenticeship Standard (Level 3) Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT Personal Development, Behaviour and Wellbeing EMPLOYER COMMITMENT TO APPRENTICESHIPS Employers are required to make a number of commitments to their apprentice for the duration of the apprenticeship programme. Employers must: Employ the apprentices for the duration of the programme. Demonstrate a real opportunity for continued employment and career development post-apprenticeship. Ensure learners work for a minimum of 30 hours per week. Allow for off-the-job training of 20% of working hours. Assign an experienced, responsible work-place mentor. Track, monitor and measure learner progression. Support the learner to maintain the highest levels of professionalism and commitment to their responsibilities in line with the Vocational Training Agreement. Facilitate the appropriate workplace exposure, tasks and experiences. Annual UK payroll £3m+

Must sign-up on Digital Account System (DAS), add PAYE schemes to account as well as assign users.

Monthly levy account (plus 10% top-up) used, once all funds used, employer pays 10 percent contribution towards negotiated rate.

For example, an employer’s accounts to June 2016 their payroll was £7m (all England).

(£7m x 0.005) - £15,000 = £20,000

£20,000 / 12 = £1,667 monthly tax.

£1,667 x 1 x 1.1 = £1,883 monthly credit.

£21,996 annual levy credit. Annual UK payroll £3m+
