The EDEN Network of Academics and Professionals (NAP) supports networking of individual members by providing meeting and communication forum. NAP has a functional autonomy and is co-ordinated by its own Steering Committee elected by a ballot of NAP members, its Chair is ex officio member of the EDEN Board.

The Members' Portal:

The Members’ Area is the online community of members.

»» It allows members to build up their online portfolio

»» Provides information for professional actions

»» Promotes communication and networking, helps to find partners

»» Offers free download of EDEN publications

EDEN Fellows: Award for professional excellence

To express acknowledgement of professional merit, the EDEN Fellow and Senior Fellow title may be awarded to members who have demonstrated excellence in professional practice, contributed to the development of open, distance and e-learning in Europe and supported the evolution and progress of EDEN.

Being membership organisation with 200 institutions and 1200 individuals from different levels of education and training, EDEN assists a wide range of organisations, networks and experts to collaborate. We share knowledge, develop understanding amongst professionals in distance and e-learning and promote policies in Europe. EDEN is instrumental in the promotion of networking, international co-operation and professional development.

EDEN organises annual European conferences, releases academic publications, offers information services and plays useful role in a wide range of European projects. Bi-annual Research

Workshops and the Open Classroom Conferences increase the impact. From 1995, EDEN runs the European Journal of Open, Distance and E-Learning (EURODL).

EDEN’s key asset has been the strong and active membership. By joining EDEN you become part of a developing innovative community of academics and practitioners, representing 58 countries and 420 institutions.Founded in 1991, EDEN is a non-profit organisation under English law. The Secretariat is hosted by the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

EDEN CONFERENCES

EDEN's mission includes the exchange of academic and professional experience, to promote effective navigation in the field, and improve quality of information. Our conferences

»» are major academic and professional events in Europe, supporting international exchange of expertise,

»» are gatherings where comprehensive contributions are presented by outstanding experts,

»» are based on collecting best practice – papers presented and selected with publication in the ‘proceedings’, as resources,

»» have a genuine community feel to them, where working relationships strengthen and deepen, where new partnerships are formed.

We employ an integrated approach which is crucial to ensure effective knowledge share within interdisciplinary fields of ICT and education. It helps to create and consolidate the international community of professionals.

The conferences capitalise on the knowledge of key stakeholders and provide a wealth of valuable resources to practitioners.Social online activities enhance networking, conference sessions’ webcasts are published on the web. Conferences are featured in the members’portal and Facebook groups, in Twitter discussions and on LinkedIn.

Upcoming Annual Conference2013 – Oslo, Norway

To cater for different needs, EDEN organises Annual Conferences and thematic workshops. These interactive events help you to be kept up-to-date, share and discuss.

Dear Reader,

Is quality your major priority in e-learning and ICT? Are you striving for sustained quality in Higher Education or Vocational Education and Training?

Then SEVAQ+ offers you a multilingual tool for the self-evaluation of quality in technology-enhanced learning.By merging the Kirkpatrick evaluation approach with the EFQM quality model, SEVAQ+ has engineered a holistic tool for the generation of stakeholder-centred questionnaires and customised evaluation possibilities. Evaluation results are available in real time and in a variety of forms, from radar graphs giving an instant picture to raw data for importing into other applications.SEVAQ+ thus helps you prove your excellence!

We hope to count you among the growing community of SEVAQ+ users and promoters of self-evaluation for quality.

The SEVAQ+ team

What can you do with SEVAQ+?SEVAQ+ is designed to help a range of organisations – professional training centres, in-company training departments or universities – to evaluate the quality of any

teaching and learning supported by technology, whether

totally online or blended.SEVAQ+ enables you to:Create questionnaires

•based on recognised quality approaches.

Analyse results with •

easy-to-interpret data.Improve the quality

•of your courses.

Teachers and trainers can gather feedback on what learners really think of their learning experience and thus improve their courses.Training managers can get the full picture by comparing responses from the different stakeholders involved and can track progress from one year to the next.Organisations can use the results of SEVAQ+ to benchmark

against others.Learners too have a voice in the process, adding comments to their responses.

Building a culture of

innovation in learning

The Learnovation project will:

explore, analyse and document emerging

innovation paradigms in all eLearning

areas of application – the so-called

"eLearning territories" and to produce

12 Thematic Reports;

relate the use of ICT for learning (actual

and potential) to policy priorities in the

field of lifelong learning and in a broader

perspective;

develop a consensus-based new vision of

eLearning, linked to innovation paradigms

and taking into account the differentiation

dimension of "eLearning territories", by

involving all EU and national actor

categories that might contribute to the

process;

design and activate a foresight capacity on

future use of ICT to support learning

processes in all aspects of European

citizens' life and to produce a focussed

Foresight Report;

propose a set of indicators and a collection

and analysis process able to document

achievements of ICT to support learning

processes following the Learnovation

vision;

develop a project multiplying effect on

different parts of lifelong learning systems

and in the broader societal scenario, by

actively involving external actors in the

organisation of Learnovation seminars in

their own environment.
