I NTRO DUCTI O N:

Diabetes is a serious public health problem in Germany, leading among other things toapproximately 40,000 amputations every year. General characteristics of Type I I diabetespatients are obesity, stress, lack of movement and a large amount of carbohydrates in theirdiet (high glycemic load). A mismanaged life-style, maintained constantly over many years, can transform physiological processes into pathological ones. We are convinced that Type IIdiabetes is most frequency the result of an unhealthy life style.

Life without rhythm does not exist. Body rhythms (brain rhythms, breathing rhythms, heart-rhythm, skeletal muscle rhythms, etc.) can be seen as the result of synchronizations of cellrhythms. The question we asked ourselves, was whether i t might be possible to inducespecific time-patterns in the body, internally via the mind (meditation, Yoga) and externally, from the outside, by physical-therapeutic methods utiliz ing the pr inc iple of entrainmentor synchronization of cellular vibrations by an external signal. Activating cellular rhythmsand their correlated processes can be expected to result in systemic as well as local healingeffects.

Our recent research work with high resolution video microscopy has indicated that it is possibleto influence cellular rhythms and behavior by changing the state of the cellular surroundings— the extracellular matrix — and thereby the conditions under which cells operate.

To apply this idea to whole-body treatment, we focused especially on the skeletal musclebecause it constitutes, with 45% of the total body mass, the largest single organ of the body. Itpulsates in the range of 8 -12 Hz (the same frequency range as the alpha rhythm of the brain)and is responsible not only for our macroscopic movements but also, together with the heartmuscle, for the body's microcirculation (arterial, lymphatic and venous flow).

We shall present how tissue regeneration — in diabetes patients and others, and even in themost severe surgical cases — as well as overall body performance, are improved using thisentrainment method. Matrix-Rhythm-Therapy releases blocked neuromuscular processesand restores the sympatho-vagal balance, so that — in the language of Vedas - the embodiedspirit is made to become one again with the Universal Spirit.

Without enough insulin in the body, glucoseaccumulates in the blood, where it is of littleuse. Even though there is plenty of glucosearound it, it can't get into the cells to produceATP. To fulf ill these requirements the bodystarts t o liquidate fa t deposits for energyproduction which in turn produces acidic sideproduct lik e ketones resulting i n acidosis.Acidosis sensitizes the pain perception andthe musc le dispos ition t o contract. Thuscompression of the venules and the arteriolesleads t o insuffic ient ox y gen s upply a n dreduced ATP formation causing hypoxia. Asa result of hypoxia and energy deficit on thecellular level the muscle fiber stay contractedresulting i n v ar ious complications l i k estiffness o f muscles, reduction in mobility ,non healing wounds , los s o f sensation, burning sensation in the extremities, hyperpigmentation of skin, edema, lack of stamina, fatigue etc.

Purpose: To the best of author's knowledgethis repor t represents the firs t t o prov idea detailed effec t o f Mat r ix therapy o nchronic Ty pe2 diabetic pat ient s uffer ingfrom complications o f both diabetes andependymoma.

Study design: Case report

Methods: A 46 year old male reported onjune2013, chief complains of all four limb weakness, trunk weakness, mult ip le pressure sores, polydipsia, sensory deficits, shoulder jo intpain, breathing difficulties, lethargy, bladderand bowel problems since 21 months. H ehad positive family historyof type 2 Diabetesmellitus and the patient was diagnosed tosuffer from the same at the age of 25 years andsince then he had been on oral medications. In March 2006 , MRI Cervical -- Dorsal spinerevealed Syringobulbia and syringomyelia ofcervical-dorsal cord upto D6 level. Augus t2006 C EM R I rev ealed Cerv icomedullaryependymoma with secondary syrinx. On May2007, Post operative and Post radiotherapyMRI s tudy revealed tumor extension uptoD5 level rather than syrinx F r o m 2007 to2011 pat ient had undergone t w o surgicalprocedures and regular radiotherapy but hadno functional deficits.

MATRIX RHYTHM THERAPY FORDIABETIC NON HEALING ULCER-A CASE REPORT

Purpose o f t h e s tudy : T o r epo r t t h eeffectiveness of Matr ix Rhythm Therapy inthe treatment of Diabetic Non healing ulcer.

Introduction: Diabetic foot ulcer is a majorcomplication of diabetes mellitus, occurringin 15')/0 o f a l l patients w i t h diabetes andprecedes 84')/0 of all lower leg amputations.Major increase in mortality among diabeticpatients i s considered t o be d u e t o t hedevelopment of macro and mic ro vascularcomplications, including failure of the woundhealing process. A key feature o f woundhealing is stepwise repair of lost extracellularmatrix (ECM). Non-healing chronic diabeticulcers are often treated w i t h extracellularmatrix replacement therapy, advanced moistwound therapy , bio-engineered tissue o rskin substitute, growth factors and negativepressure w ound therapy .
