• National Development Assessment Forum:– Development of national Development
Assessment XML standard to operate between proponents and all Australian jurisdictions.
• Local Government Association of SA:– Supporting XML data exchange standard and
process for subdivision proposals.– Promoting use of national standards.

• Web Service Functionality– EDALA forward application, documents, and
any changes to Council– Council forwards ‘response’ and any
response document to EDALA– Council forward ‘Decision’ and any

Summary
• After 18 months– Good for the Applicants– Some efficiencies and integration to be
introduced for PSA– Some benefit for some Councils
• Futures – Launch of Certificate of Approval process– Addressing Council system integration
requirements with XML interface– Enhancement program.

Objective– Using a ‘web services’ approach,
develop a solution that enables the EDALA to interface with Council systems for Sub-Division Development Applications.
