  • The London Chess Conference: The Future of Chess in Education 8-9 December 2018

londonchessconference.com The ECU sponsors the annual London Chess Conference which brings together educators, teachers, tutors and researchers to a couple of days of sharing ideas, developing projects and networking. The next conference explores visions of how chess will be used in education in the future. We expect to see developments in games-based learning, educational software, artificial intelligence, teacher training and in the structure of schooling. Chess may plays a role in social and cognitive development, in special needs, in integration and other domains.

ECU Training Courses in London After the London Conference, there will be two ECU training courses. As well as the two-day School Chess Teacher training on 10-11 December, a new course will be launched on 12th December: a one-day Chess and Mathematics course which focuses on improving problem solving skills. London Chess Classic

The Conference is on the first weekend of the London Chess Classic (9-16 Dec). You will have a chance to see the world‘s top players in action, to participate in the FIDE Open and to witness enthusiastic school visits. www.londonchessclassic.com
